National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.
Eligible candidates are invited to apply for the following posts on the ad hoc research project entitled “Development of New Bio-maker for Quantification of Acetylcholinesterase (ache) Enzyme Activity Organophosphate Carbamates and Nerve Agent in Biological and Ambient Matrices”. The Project is funded by DHR and executing agency is NIN.

1st Class in M. Pharm
Two years research experience
Desirable
i. Publications in Indexed Journals
ii. Hands on experience on LCMS and pesticide residue analysis
Age : 30 years. Age relaxation is admissible as per ICMR guidelines
Nature of duties
To carry out the research work in the said project and confirmation and quantification of new bio-marker in organophosphate poisoning cases.
Consolidated Emoluments
Rs.28,000-00 p.m. + HRA per month fixed without any other allowances

Initially for one year, likely to be extendable as per rules
Syllabus for written exam nation and no. questions
Masters level(if conducted)Written Test for 50 marks
Place of work : NIN, outside NIN and outside Hyderabad
Date & Time of Written Test/ Interview : 15-06-2017 from 10:30 AM onwards
Selection Procedure: Interview will be conducted for the eligible candidates after verification of the Certificates. However, if more number of candidates are found eligible for the post advertised, Written Test/ Skill Test may also be conducted on the same day for final found of Interview.
Applications will be received from the individuals on 15th June, 2017 between 9:30 A.M. and 10:30 A.M. in the Conference Hall/ Assembly Hall at NIN, Tarnaka, Hyderabad for this Walk-in-Written Test/ Interview. Late applications will not be entertained after 10:30 A.M. under any circumstances. Application form will be provided to the candidates at NIN on the same day.
