NIAB is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and take up research in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute's focus of research will be on Animal Genetics and Genomics, Transgenic Technology, Reproductive Biotechnology, Infectious Diseases, Bioinformatics and Nutrition Enrichment. The institute aims at translational research leading to the development of novel vaccines, diagnostics and improved therapeutic molecules for farm animals. The Institute plans to promote bio entrepreneurship by providing support environment for commercial tenants involved in the development of farm animal based products.
Applications are invited from suitable candidate for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad
One position of Junior Research Fellow against the DST funded project entitled “Development of peptide based anti-inflammatory drug for septicaemia”. PI: Dr. Girish K Radhakrishnan.
Fellowship amount: Rs.25000/-PM+30% HRA = 32,500/- PM as per the DST guidelines
Essential qualification: Post Graduate Degree in life sciences with NET qualification or Post Graduate degree in professional course. (Eligibility criteria as per DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21.10.2014). However Non- NET candidates can also apply who will be paid as per their eligibility.
Candidate with experience in inflammatory diseases, cytokine assays, handling mice and peptides will be preferred
Age: 28 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
