This Institute invites applications from eligible, qualified and motivated candidates for the following project-based position(s), purely on a temporary basis, under the DHR funded project No. GAP-3200 entitled “Establishment of Health Technology Assessment in India (HTAIn) New Resource Centre” tenable at CSIR-IIIM, Jammu

Health Economist (level of Scientist C) [One Position]
Essential Qualification : Masters in Health Economics/ Economics/ Public Health/Community Medicine with specialization in Healthcare Costing, Economic Evaluation AND/PLUS 4 years of related Experience in Health Sector.
Ph.D. in the related field. Proficiency in MS Office, VBA and TreeAge.
Upper Age Limit : 40 yrs
Stipend (per month in ₹) : 67,000/- + HRA* per month

Scientist D (Medical/Non- Medical) / Senior Research Officer [One Position]
Essential Qualification
Essentials (Medical): Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB/MPH) after MBBS with 6 years research experience in the relevant field. OR MBBS degree with 8 years’ experience or Post Graduate Diploma in medical subjects after MBBS with 5 years’ experience in the relevant subject. OR Ph. D in the relevant subject (Community Medicine/Preventive & Social Medicine/ Paediatrics/ Medicine/ Tropical Medicine/ Community Health Administration/Health Administration/ Family Medicine/ Epidemiology/ Public Health) from a recognized university with 5 years’ experience in the relevant field. AND /PLUS 2 years’ experience in the management of R & D projects in a team effectively.
Essentials (Non-Medical) : Ph.D. degree in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology subject from a recognized University with 5 years R&D/Teaching experience in relevant subject after Ph.D. OR First class MPH/ Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy)/Master’s degree in the relevant subjects from a recognized university with 8 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after 1st Class Master’s Degree. OR Second class M.Sc/MPH + Ph.D degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University with 8 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject post qualification. AND/ PLUS 2 years experience in the management of R & D projects in a team effectively.
Desirable Qualification
For (Medical) : Additional Post-doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized institute(s). Knowledge of Computer Applications/Data Management.
For (Non-Medical) : Post-doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized Institute(s). Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools/Data Management.
Upper Age Limit : 45 years

Scientist C (Medical/Non- Medical) / Research Officer [One Position]
Essential Qualification
Essentials (Medical) : MBBS degree with 6 years’ experience or Post Graduate Diploma in medical subjects after MBBS with 5 years’ experience in relevant subject. Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB/MPH) after MBBS with 4 years research experience in relevant field.
Essentials (Non-Medical) : M.Sc. Life science/ MPH/MHA/ M. Pharm (Masters of Pharmacy) /Pharm. D (Doctor of Pharmacy) with 4 year of experience in relevant area.
Desirable Qualification
For (Medical) : Doctorate (Ph.D.) in the relevant subject (Community Medicine/ Preventive & Social Medicine/ Pediatrics /Medicine/ Tropical Medicine/ Community Health Administration/Health Administration/ Family Medicine/ Epidemiology/ Public Health) from a recognized university. Additional Post-doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized institute(s). Knowledge of Computer Applications/Data Management.
For (Non-Medical) : Ph.D. degree Microbiology/ Biochemistry /Biotechnology subject from a recognized University with 2 years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject. Knowledge of computer applications/business intelligence tools/data management.
Upper Age Limit : 40 yrs
Stipend (per month in ₹) : 67,000/- + HRA* per month

Field Officer [One Position]
Essential Qualification : Graduate in Science/ relevant subjects from a recognized university with 3 years of work experience from a recognized institution or master’s degree in the relevant subject or Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy) from a recognized institution.
Desirable Qualification : Experience in hospital-based research/public health surveys. Good communication and coordination skills.
Upper Age Limit : 35 yrs
Stipend (per month in ₹) : Rs. 25,000/ – 30,000/- per month (Consolidated)

General Terms, Conditions & Instructions :
1) The engagement will initially be for a period of One Year.
2) The tenure of engagement shall be co-terminus with the project. However, under no circumstances shall the total tenure exceed six years, including engagement in all CSIR labs. Performance will be reviewed periodically and unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination without any notice or reason.
3) The position(s) are purely temporary and are on behalf of the sponsor and, therefore, not confer any right on the incumbent(s) to any claim, implicit or explicit, for absorption on any post in CSIR-IIIM/CSIR.
4) Candidates will have the option to interact in English/Hindi before the Selection Committee.
5) Relaxation in age limit will be given as per Govt. of India Rules. Age will be reckoned as on the last date of application.

6) Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents, including eligibility qualification, DOB, caste, and age relaxation certificate, will be verified; if any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment shall stand cancelled.
7) The number of positions may vary depending upon the project requirements at the time of Interview.
8) The Director, CSIR-IIIM reserves the right to not to fill any or all advertised positions.
9) Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification for the positions.
10) Candidates currently engaged in any project at CSIR-IIIM must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before applying for any new vacancy. Applications/ candidature/ selection of such candidates will only be considered if the NOC has been issued by the office.
11) No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview

Mode of Selection : Selection is to be done on the basis of Interview; however, if a large number of candidates apply, the Screening Committee may revisit the Screening criteria, if required.
