Research Fellowships for Pharma or Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry candidates at GBU

Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate-1 (RA-1) to work under the research project titled “Development of Long-Acting Peptide Dual Modulators for Treatment of Hypertension and End-Organ Protection” funded by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Govt. of Gujarat at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co- terminates with the project.

Post : Research Associate-1 (RA-1)

Minimum Qualifications :
PhD in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Medicinal Chemistry/Chemical Biology or other Allied Areas OR Three years of research experience after M.Pharm/M.Tech/M.Sc with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications :
• Candidates with hands-on expertise in solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), purification (HPLC), and structural characterization.
• Candidates with hands-on expertise in Mammalian Cell Culture.
• Candidates with experience in Biochemical Assays for Enzyme-Inhibition Studies
• Candidates with a good Publication Record.

Age Limit : Up to 40 years on the closing date of the advertisement

Fellowship Duration : Initially for 1 year, extendable for the 2nd year (total 24 months or project tenure), subject to satisfactory progress and financial provisions.

Fellowship : Rs. 54,200/- per month, including HRA as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
