Recruitment for faculty positions in the School of Pharmacy at NFSU

National Forensic Sciences University invites eligible and highly motivated candidates to attend recruitment exercise for various academic positions on a contractual basis at the NFSU Gandhinagar Campus. NFSU fosters an interdisciplinary academic environment and seeks faculty members capable of engaging in collaborative teaching and research across forensic science and allied domains, as detailed below.

Minimum Eligibility : Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% or equivalent in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. 
The candidate who has given the viva voce for the award of Ph.D. may also apply. A minimum of two publications in renowned journals of repute (UGC -care listed journal/ Web of Science /SCOPUS Indexed journals)

Consolidated Remuneration : 
1. Assistant Professor (Regular remuneration) : Consolidated fixed monthly remuneration of Rs. 90,000/- only. 
2. Assistant Professor (Lower remuneration) : Consolidated fixed monthly remuneration of Rs. 75,000/- only. 
3. Lecturer: Consolidated fixed monthly remuneration of Rs. 68,000/- only. 

Note : Candidates having a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines with a minimum of 60% (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) at the preceding degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline from recognized university with very good academic record throughout, and two publications as mentioned above shall be considered for the post of Assistant Professor (contractual) and will be paid consolidated remuneration of Rs 90,000/- per month. 

In case, qualified & suitable candidates are not found for the post of Assistant Professor in any of the disciplines, the University may appoint Contractual Faculty at Lower Remuneration; either as Assistant Professor or Lecturer’s position. The details of the same are as under : 
A. Candidates having Master degree with minimum 60% or equivalent in concerned/allied/relevant discipline from recognized university with very good academic record throughout and qualified UGC NET or equivalent Exam in concerned/allied/relevant branch shall be considered for the post of Assistant Professor-Lower Remuneration (contractual) and will be paid consolidated remuneration of Rs. 75,000/- per month. 
B. In case the NET exam is not conducted by UGC in the particular desired subject, then the candidates having Master degree with minimum 60% or equivalent at masters’ level in concerned/allied/relevant discipline from recognized university with very good academic record throughout shall be considered for the post of Lecturer (contractual) and will be paid consolidated remuneration of Rs 68,000/- per month. 
C. Candidates having minimum qualifying degree i.e. Master’s Degree with minimum 60% or equivalent at master’s level in concerned/allied/relevant discipline from recognized university with very good academic record throughout shall be considered for the post of Lecturer (contractual) and will be paid consolidated remuneration of Rs 68000/- per month. The preference shall be given to the candidates, who are pursuing their PhD from any INI or recognized University. 
D. In case of an applicant possessing an inter-disciplinary postgraduate degree and Ph.D., the highest degree shall be considered for determining the specialization or discipline of the respective applicant.

Essential Qualifications
Pharmacology : Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines with a minimum of 60% (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) at the preceding degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline i.e. Master Degree in Pharmacy / Forensic Pharmacy with specialization in Pharmacology or concerned/allied/relevant discipline with a very good academic record throughout. *For faculty in Pharmacy, the Registration as Pharmacist under Pharmacy Act is mandatory. Desirable: Candidate having experience in Pharmacology or other concerned/allied/relevant fields. 

Novel Drug Delivery System :  Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines with a minimum of 60% (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) at the preceding degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline i.e. Master Degree in Pharmacy/ Forensic Pharmacy with specialization in Pharmaceutics/ Industrial Pharmacy/ Novel Drug delivery system/ Pharmaceutical Technology/ Regulatory Affairs or concerned/allied/relevant discipline from recognized university or equivalent with very good academic record throughout. *For faculty in Pharmacy, the Registration as Pharmacist under Pharmacy Act is mandatory. 
Desirable : Candidate having experience in the field of Pharmacy/ Forensic Pharmacy or concerned/allied/relevant field. 

Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs : Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines with a minimum of 60% (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) at the preceding degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline i.e. Master Degree in Pharmaceutical Technology/ Regulatory Affairs or concerned/allied/relevant discipline from recognized university or equivalent with very good academic record throughout. 
Desirable : Candidate having experience in the field of Pharmacy/ Forensic Pharmacy or concerned/allied/relevant field. 

Forensic / Pharmaceutical Chemistry : Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines with a minimum of 60% (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) at the preceding degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline i.e. Master Degree in Pharmacy/ Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry or concerned/allied/relevant discipline from recognized university or equivalent with very good academic record throughout. Desirable: Candidate having experience in the field of Forensic/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance : Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines with a minimum of 60% (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) at the preceding degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline i.e. Master Degree in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance/ Pharmacy/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry or concerned/allied/relevant discipline from recognized university or equivalent with very good academic record throughout. 
Desirable : Candidate having experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION
1. Candidates appearing for the interview may be considered for a lower post if otherwise found suitable. 
2. Courses offered by autonomous institutions must be equivalent to the concerned/allied/relevant course approved/recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). 
3. Contractual appointment will be for eleven months or until a regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier. 
4. A minimum of two research papers published in reputed journals (UGC -care listed journal/ Web of Science /SCOPUS Indexed journals) shall be considered. 
5. If the applicant is pursuing a full-time Ph.D., he/she must furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and prior approval from the Head of the Institution. 
6. The University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of positions or to fill/not fill any of the advertised positions or specializations. 
7. All qualifications must be obtained from a UGC-recognized University/Deemed University or RCI/BCI/PCI/AICTE-approved autonomous institution (wherever applicable). 
8. Candidates must bring their original certificates/documents (educational qualifications, experience, age proof, etc.) for verification at the time of interview. 
9. One set of self-attested photocopies of all supporting documents (degree, mark sheets, experience certificates, etc.) must be submitted to the Recruitment Cell at the time of the interview. 
10. The contractual position may be terminated at any time if the candidate is found ineligible or fails to meet the required criteria.

2. Application Fees is INR 1000. Please go through the detailed eligibility criteria before applying or payment of fees. The application fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances. 
3. Application fees have to be paid through UPI to the mentioned designated bank account and the payment confirmation has to be attached with application in form of screenshot/image (JPEG).
4. If applying for more than one post, the application fee must be paid separately for each post applied for, even if the School for which the application is being submitted remains the same. 
5. Applications will be considered incomplete until payment is confirmed by the NFSU Accounts Section against the uploaded proof of payment. 
6. Any applicant found submitting AI-generated, morphed, altered, forged, or otherwise manipulated payment proofs/documents shall be liable for strict disciplinary action, including rejection of the application and disqualification from applying for future recruitment processes of the University. 
7. The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the positions and fill or not to fill positions in any of the appended/ and or any other specialization(s).
