General instructions and information regarding the application process are provided below. Candidates must carefully review all instructions and submit their applications strictly in the prescribed format.
Applications are invited from qualified candidates to fill the aforementioned vacant post in the Medical Health Department of Thane Municipal Corporation on a contractual basis for a period of 11 months and 29 days at a consolidated honorarium.

Required Qualification : D. Pharm / B. Pharm; preference given for clinical experience in government or private sectors and Maharashtra Pharmacy Council registration.

Details regarding educational/technical/professional courses
Applicants must attach self-attested photocopies of documents related to all educational, technical, and professional courses along with the application.
I. Detailed and accurate information regarding educational qualifications must be recorded.
II. Candidates must possess the minimum educational qualifications required for the post by the final date of application submission.
III. It is mandatory to mention in the application the date on which the required educational qualification was obtained (i.e., the date of declaration of the result).
IV. If the final year certificate indicates a grade or CGPA instead of marks, the candidate must obtain a certified conversion into percentage/marks from the concerned institution and attach a copy of it to the application; the percentage of marks should be entered in the application accordingly, and the original copy must be produced during the scrutiny process if the candidate is shortlisted.
V. Applications will be rejected if the percentage of marks mentioned in the educational certificate does not match the percentage stated in the application.
VI. Self-attested photocopies of certificates/documents regarding all educational qualifications mentioned in the application must be submitted along with the application; production of original documents during the scrutiny process is mandatory if the candidate is shortlisted. The application will not be considered if the mark sheets for the required educational qualifications do not match the information provided in the application during the scrutiny stage of the selection process.
VII. The educational qualification required for the contractual post must have been obtained from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Only qualifications obtained from such universities will be considered valid.
VIII. For medical/paramedical posts where registration with the respective medical/paramedical council is mandatory, applicants must submit the registration certificate along with the application; it is also mandatory to produce this during the scrutiny process if selected.
Details of Experience : Applicants must provide details of all their experience in the application.
I. Only experience gained after acquiring the prescribed educational qualification for the contractual post being applied for will be considered valid. Therefore, experience gained prior to acquiring the educational qualification should not be listed; such experience will not be taken into account.
II. When listing experience details in the application, the information should be entered in reverse chronological order—starting from the current appointment period and going back to the initial appointment period.
III. When providing experience details, only the details of the office(s) for which an experience certificate has been obtained should be listed. Experience will not be considered valid in the absence of an experience certificate; the certificate must clearly specify the duration of the experience.
IV. When listing experience details, the dates of joining and relief (leaving) must be stated accurately. Care should be taken to ensure both dates match those mentioned in the experience certificate. Any discrepancy found in this regard will result in the experience not being considered.
V. Only government or semi-government experience relevant to the specific contractual post being applied for will be considered valid; any other experience.
Submission of Documents/Certificates
Applicants must submit self-attested photocopies of all documents and certificates related to the information provided in the application—including educational qualifications, experience, and other necessary credentials—at the 4th Floor, Thane Municipal Bhavan, Public Health Department, Panchpakhadi, Thane (w) -400602.
Payment of Application Fee via Demand Draft
Applicants must pay the fee corresponding to the post they have selected.
I. Candidates are required to attach a Demand Draft (DD) from a nationalized bank. The application fee is Rs. 750/- for candidates in the Open category and Rs. 500/- for candidates in the Reserved category.
II. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favor of:
"INTEGRATED HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE SOCIETY"
III. Applications received without a valid Demand Draft will not be considered.
IV. The application fee is non-refundable.
Information regarding every point in the application must be filled in accurately and legibly. There should be no overwriting or corrections in the information provided at the time of submission; please note that no changes can be made to the application after it has been submitted.
Age Limit
A self-attested photocopy of proof of age—such as a birth certificate, school leaving certificate, or Secondary School Certificate (SSC) passing certificate—must be attached to the application.
I. The age of the candidate as on the last date of submission of application i.e. 09/07/2026 must be within the age limit prescribed in the advertisement for each contractual post.
II. Maximum age limit for candidates Open category 38 years, Reserved category -43 years.
III. Age limit will be relaxed for employees currently working on contractual basis in National Health Mission. However, it is mandatory to submit a certificate to that effect signed by the Head of the office currently working during document verification. Age limit will be as per HR Policy as follows.
The calculation of age for the contractual year shall be on date of publishing of advertisement.
(a) Minimum Age: No person shall be eligible for employment under National Health Mission, Maharashtra unless he/she has completed years of age. (Annexure 1-2 & 3 NHM Circular dated 29.9.2018 & 28.05.2019)
(b) Maximum Age for entry: Maximum age for entry shall be (1) 69 years for MO MBBS and specialists (2) 64 years for Nursing and Paramedical Staff and (3) For remaining posts 38 years for open category and 43 years for reserved category candidates.
(c) No age bar for the employees already working under NHM and wish to apply for another post within NHM.
(d) Applicants above 60 years are mandated to produce physical fitness certificate certified by civil surgeon (Annexure 1- 2. NHM Circular dated 29.9.2018).
(e) All NHM employees should not have any administrative or financial proceedings, penal proceedings, criminal or any other type of serious crime against him during previous government service period. (Annexure 1-2. NHM Circular dated 29.9.2018).
Age limit for end of contractual service :
(1) The age limit for end of contractual service shall be (1) 70 years for MO MBBS and specialist (2) 65 years for Nursing and Paramedical staff and (3) 60 years for remaining posts. (Annexure 1-3.NHM Circulardated 28.05.2019)
Other general instructions regarding application
While submitting the application, all the necessary educational, experience, caste etc. certificates, self-attested photocopies of certificates should be attached, applications filled with incomplete information and without the required documents will not be accepted.
I. If the applicant is married, a photocopy of the marriage registration certificate, as well as a photocopy of the Gazette document in case of change of name, should be submitted along with the application and if you are eligible for selection, the original certificate must be submitted during verification.
II. The date of birth mentioned in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSC) should be mentioned in the application.
III. The information regarding gender and marital status should be mentioned correctly in the application.
IV. It is mandatory for the candidate to specify their valid email ID, active mobile number, and an alternate mobile number in the application. Instructions regarding the verification of original documents for candidates shortlisted from the list of eligible/ineligible candidates will be communicated via email as required. Additionally, the list of candidates selected based on merit will be published on the website. Therefore, candidates must ensure their email IDs remain active until the recruitment process concludes and are responsible for checking their emails periodically. Furthermore, the list of eligible/ineligible candidates, along with necessary instructions and updates regarding the contractual recruitment, will be published on this office's website (wthanecity.gov.in) from time to time. Candidates are required to visit the website regularly for such updates.
V. Candidates must declare that they are domiciled in the State of Maharashtra. A photocopy of the prescribed Domicile Certificate must be submitted with the application, and the original certificate must be produced for verification if the candidate is selected.
VI. Candidates must accurately specify details regarding their religion and caste category. If a candidate belongs to a reserved category, a self-attested photocopy of the prescribed certificate must be submitted with the application, and the original certificate must be produced for verification if selected. Applications from reserved category candidates who fail to submit their caste certificate will not be considered; please take note of this.
VII. Candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC), Denotified Tribes (Vimukta Jati) and Nomadic Tribes (NT), Special Backward Category (SBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC) must submit a 'Non-Creamy Layer' certificate (certifying that they do not fall within the 'creamy layer' or advanced section/group). Submission of the original certificate during the document verification stage is mandatory if the candidate is selected; failure to submit the certificate will result in the rejection of the candidate's application.
VIII. Candidates applying under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC) categories must submit the respective EWS and SEBC certificates. They must also produce the original certificates during the document verification stage if selected.
IX. Applicants must accurately state both their current address and permanent address.

11) Small Family Certificate -
1) In accordance with government policy, the candidate is required to adhere to the 'Small Family' policy.
2) A photocopy of the said Small Family Certificate must be submitted along with the application; furthermore, if selected, the candidate is required to submit the original Small Family Certificate during the document verification process.
3) A specimen format of the said Small Family Certificate is attached with the application.
12) Candidate's Photograph and Signature - The candidate must submit a recent, clear photograph and their own signature along with the application.
General Instructions
I. Candidates are required to fill out the application using the prescribed format provided.
II. The number of posts or reservation status may be modified in accordance with the situation, should there be any changes to the program or mission as approved by the Central Government.
III. Candidates should note that applications for recruitment will be accepted via registered post or by hand delivery within the stipulated time frame.
