Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal invites applications for the Junior Research Fellow position to work under Anusandhan NationaI Research Foundation (ANRF) funded project titled " Targeting Membrane Organization and Dynamics: A Novel Strategy for Broad- Spectrum Entry Inhibition of Enveloped Viruses’" at the Manipal Institute of Virology (MIV), Manipal.
Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (Position: 01)
Educational Qualification :
• MSc in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Virology
Desirable : • Two years or more Research Experience in handling Influenza Virus (isolation and propagation), animal tissue culture and virological assays including RT-PCR
Responsibilities :
• Performing wet laboratory experiments, Data collection and analysis, data validation, reporting the data to the PI, project management, maintaining laboratory notebook etc. and any other lab- related duties that the PI assigns and the project requires.

Remuneration : (i) 37, 000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship or GATE or (b) A selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions (ii) 30,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above (iii) 33,000/- + HRA for who do not fall under (i) above and with Two years’ experience in R &D in industrial and academic Institutions or Science and Technology and Scientific Activities and services

Duration of the Project : Initially for a period of One year and extendable upto 4 years based on performance and project requirements.
