Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work under the research project entitled "Development of bacterial biofilm-inspired hydrogel for the sustainable bioremediation of microplastics” funded by Department of Biotechnology (Govt. of India) at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility Essential Qualification :
• M.Tech/M.Sc (Biotechnology or relevant life sciences discipline) with minimum of 55% marks.
• Candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC-NET-JRF- LS/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE.
Desirable Qualifications : • Candidates with prior research experience in bacterial biofilms, hydrogels, pollutant profiling from environmental samples, HPLC, LC-MS, metagenomics, marine pollution, and bioprocess engineering.
• Candidates must have proficiency in scientific writing, data analysis, and lab management
Age Limit : Up to 28 years on the closing date of the advertisement
Fellowship Duration : Initially for 1 year (extended to next year, subject to satisfactory performance)
Fellowship : Rs. 37,000/- + 18% HRA per month (NET/GATE or national-level exam qualified candidates, as per DBT norms)
