IIT KHARAGPUR invites application from Pharmacy graduates for ANRF sponsored project

The history of the IIT system dates back to 1946 when a committee was set up by Hon'ble Sir Jogendra Singh, Member of the Viceroy's Executive Council, Department of Education, Health and Agriculture to consider the setting up of Higher Technical Institutions for post war industrial development in India. The 22 member committee headed by Sri N.R.Sarkar, in its report, recommended the establishment of four Higher Technical Institutions in the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern regions, possibly on the lines of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, with a number of secondary institutions affiliated to it.

Project Title : Building Advanced Functional Encryption for Privacy-preserving Computation(BGF)

Qualifications and Relevant Experience : Four years Bachelors Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Masters Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / BVSc /B. Pharm or Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine or from a recognized University or equivalent Max. Age 35
**i)37,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) CSIR-UGC NET or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions ii) 30,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under above

Desirable Criteria : *ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:* (Masters in Computer Science / CSE / Mathematics / Mathematics and Computing / Statistics / Other allied disciplines / BTech in CSE / IT / EE / ECE) from a recognized University with some formal exposure to Cryptology. Candidates who have qualified GATE / CSIR-UGC NET (with Assistant Professorship) will be preferred more. *DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:* Ability to program in C, Python, Golang or Rust and using existing cryptographic libraries to implement and benchmark cryptosystems. The initial tenure of one year can be extended based on performance.

Proposed Fellowship : Upto Rs.37000(depending upon qualification & experience)

Age Limit : 35 (Age rules may be relaxed upon fulfilling sponsor agency rules, if any)
Tenure : 12 Months or the termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
