Duration of appointment : From date of joining to 6 months (Extendable)

Essential Qualification/Experience as per the norms : Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (B.Tech/M.Tech/BSc./ MSc. Or equivalent degree in Biotechnology/Biological Sci.//Biomedical Engg./Chemistry, or related disciplines) selected through a process described through any one of the following: (a) Scholars who are selected through NET, - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. (b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS,DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.

Desirable Qualification / Experience : Prior relevant experience with peptide synthesis and peptide biophysical characterization methods or Protein expression, purification, characterization and protein based assays. Good communication skills.

Job Description : The successful candidate will assist in:
• Synthesis and Biophysical characterization of peptides.
• Protein expression, purification, characterization and protein based assays.
• Carrying out aggregation assays, inhibitor optimisation assays and spectroscopic/microscopic analysis.
• Organizing research data, managing databases, preparing reports and presentations.
• Maintaining documents and assisting with laboratory operations.
• Ensuring proper organization of the lab workspace.
