All-India Institute of Medical Sciences was established as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-graduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India; to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all important branches of health activity; and to attain self-sufficiency in Post-graduate Medical Education.
Post : Senior Research Fellow - 01 post
Applications are invited on a contractual basis for the following posts under the project “Gut Microbiome-Metabolome Signature And T-Cell Immune Profile in Children with Congenital Uropathies having Chronic Kidney Disease: Exploring The Immune-Microbial Crosstalk In Disease Progression” funded by DBT in the Department of Pediatric Surgery, AIIMS, New Delhi.
Essential Qualification
Postgraduate degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following :
a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC, NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO. MHRD, ICAR, ICMR. IIT, IISc, USER etc. Experience: 2 years of research experience
Desirable Qualification : Hands-on-experience in genetic and molecular techniques Experience of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) techniques/handling of high- throughput sequencing platforms Capability and experience of handling microbiome and metabolome data Knowledge and proficiency in programming languages -Multi-tasking personality (ability to work on multiple data sets) -Good manuscript writing skills and computer literacy
Monthly Emoluments : Rs 42,000 + 27% HRA (As per DBT guidelines)
Age Limit : 35 years (As per DBT norms)
