Chemistry Fellowship under ANRF ARG Project at Indian Institute of Technology

Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad formerly known as Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad established in 1926 has 17 full-fledged departments offering undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level courses in various branches of Engineering, Pure and Applied Sciences, Management and Humanities & Social Sciences.

Applications are invited under the sponsored project. The details of the project are as under

Post : JRF position under ANRF ARG Project

Number of Position : 1 (One) 

Title of The Project : Tunable Fluorescent Organic Nanoparticles, Based on the Scaffold of a Single Benzene-Based Fluorophore, 5-(tert-Butyl)-2-hydroxy-1,3-isophthalaldehyde, for Enhanced Emission, White Light Generation and Bioimaging: Syntheses and Spectroscopic Studies 

Principal Investigator : Dr. Soumit Chatterjee 
Tenure of Project  : Till 13/03/2029 or Co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier 

Job Description (in maximum of 100 words) : The selected candidate is expected to conduct studies on methodology development and application of the developed methodologies towards target probe syntheses. Further the synthesized probes will be characterized and their applicability will be tested to help ensure the timely and successful completion of the project, in consultation with the PI. 

Essential Qualification : 1. M.Sc (Chemistry) with 1st class or min 60% marks/ 6.0 CGPA (if class is not awarded) 
2. Valid CSIR-UGC NET (including LS) or GATE qualification 

Desirable Qualification : Experience in synthesis and handling absorption spectrophotometer, fluorimeter and time resolved fluorescence instruments

Age and Relaxation (if any) : As per ANRF norms (Ralaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per GOI norms) 

Fellowship : 37,000/- PM + (admissible HRA if staying outside the campus)


Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the date of interview. Mere possession of minimum qualification does not guarantee an invitation to the interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and as per the requirement of the project. All candidates should make their own arrangements for their stay at Dhanbad, if required. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
