Applications are invited for the post of Chief Operating Officer, BioNEST-BHU purely on contractual basis under BIRAC sponsored BioNEST program. Engagement will he initially for a period of 12 months, which may he extended further depending upon the performance and need of the selected candidate.The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Salary : Rs 80,000 /- per month

Qualifications Required
Essential : A PG degree in any of the allied subjects of life sciences OR MBA/Management degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent.
Desirable : i) Ph.D. in relevant subject
ii) 3-5 years working experience in R&D organization, industry, incubation center, OR start-up ecosystem.
iii) Experience in business/project management
iv) Experience of attracting and ensuring business/grants/investments for optimal utilization and sustainability of the center.
v) The incumbent should possess good communication managerial and leadership skills and possess good drafting and noting skills. Should be conversant with official procedures and capable of writing grant proposals.
Age limit : The candidate must not exceed 50 years of age on the last date of application. Age may be relaxed for experienced and well-qualified candidates.
Job Description
The COO will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:
I. Work towards the sustainability of the center
II. Attracting and ensuring business/grants/investments for optimal utilization and sustainability of the center.
III. Develop good ecosystem to attract and support innovators, technology developers and startups.
IV. Connecting incubatees with mentors, investors, experts in regulatory affairs, and industry partner
V. Organize seminars, hackathons, trainings, workshops and sensitization programs for the Faculty, Students, Start-ups & Industry.
VI. Liaison with the different department of the University, Industry. Start-ups and other organization.
