CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, is a premier Institute working under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body under the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Eligible, interested and highly motivated candidates are invited for Walk-in Interview for the following project-based positions, purely on a temporary basis, under the CSIR-IIIM ULIP entitled “Prospecting Biodiversity for Drug Discovery and Sustainable Development IIIM-BD (MLP002622) tenable at CSIR- IIIM, Jammu (Position Codes: PA-01 to PA-03 and CA-01 to CA-03) and CSIR-IIIM, Br. Lab, Srinagar (Position Codes: PA-04)

Tenable at CSIR-IIIM, Jammu

Project Associate-I [Three Positions]
Post Code : PA- 01
Essential Qualification : M.Sc./M.Pharm/M.S. in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Pharmacognosy/Natural Products Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification : Two years of research/working experience in the extraction, isolation, purification, and characterisation of plant- derived natural products/phytochemicals using chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques like HPLC, TLC, NMR, FTIR, etc. Experience in natural products chemistry, phytochemistry, analytical method development, and scientific documentation will be preferred.

Project Associate-I [Two Positions]

Essential Qualification : M.Sc./M.Pharm. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry,Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Quality Assurance, or allied areas from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification : Candidates having experience in quality control/quality assurance activities, analytical method development and validation, handling of analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, FTIR, dissolution apparatus, and related laboratory techniques will be preferred. Knowledge of GMP/GLP documentation and regulatory guidelines will be an added advantage.

Project Associate-I [One Position]

Essential Qualification : B.E/B.Tech Chemical Engineering/Biochemical Engineering/ Bioprocess Engineering or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification : Candidates having experience in operation and maintenance of fermentation of pilot plant/ bioreactors and cGMP will be preferred. operation of fermentation equipment.

Consultant Business Development [One Position]

Essential Qualification : M.Sc/PhD in Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical Sciences with Minimum 10years of experience in thepharmaceutical industry
Desirable Qualification : MBA or equivalent qualification in Business Management having experience in Facilitate partnerships, communication, and collaboration between academia, industry, and government. Coordinate research initiatives, talent development, and training programs. Act as primary contact for operational alignment and strategic engagement. Preference shall be given to the candidate having diverse industry experience.

Consultant Regulatory Affairs [One Position]

Essential Qualification : PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences/Life Sciences/Chemical Sciences with Minimum 10 years of experience in regulatory affairs in drug discovery
Desirable Qualification : Certification or training in Regulatory Affairs having experience in taking molecules and leads into the regulatory space, ensuring compliance with national and international guidelines. Preference shall be given to retired Scientist/Government official

Consultant Research & Development [One Position]

Essential Qualification : PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences/Life Sciences/Chemical Sciences with Minimum 10 years of experience in preclinical Drug Discovery.
Desirable Qualification : Having proven experience in preclinical drug discovery and Lead R&D initiatives, design and execute experiments, and provide scientific expertise in natural product-based drug discovery. Preference shall be given to retired Scientist/Government official

Tenable at CSIR-IIIM, Br. Lab, Srinagar

Project Associate-I [One Position]
Post Code : PA- 04
Essential Qualification : M.Sc. in Botany, Plant Taxonomy, Biodiversity, or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification : Candidates having experience in plant taxonomy, botanical field surveys, plant specimen collection and introduction of Medicinal and Aromatic in the CSIR-IIIM farms for agrotechnology development and captive cultivation. Knowledge of analytical/software tools, documentation will be an added advantage

*(a) For those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET incl. Lecturership/Assistant Professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/ Institutions.
(b) For those who do not fall under (a) above.

General Terms, Conditions & Instructions :
1) The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The projects are currently sanctioned up to 31 March 2027 and may be extended beyond this period, subject to project continuation and the satisfactory performance of the candidates.
2) The tenure of engagement shall be co-terminus with the project. However, under no circumstances shall the total tenure exceed six years, including engagement in all CSIR labs. Performance will be reviewed periodically and unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination without any notice or reason.
3) The position(s) are purely temporary and are on behalf of the sponsor and, therefore, not confer any right on the incumbent(s) to any claim, implicit or explicit, for absorption on any post in CSIR-IIIM/CSIR.
4) Candidates will have the option to interact in English/Hindi before the Selection Committee.
5) Relaxation in age limit will be given as per Govt. of India Rules. Age will be reckoned as on the date of the Interview.
6) Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents, including eligibility qualification, DOB, caste, and age relaxation certificate, will be verified; if any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment shall stand cancelled.
7) The number of positions may vary depending upon the project requirements at the time of Interview.
8) The Director, CSIR-IIIM reserves the right to not to fill any or all advertised positions.
9) Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification for the positions.
10) Candidates currently engaged in any project at CSIR-IIIM must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before applying for any new vacancy. Applications/ candidature/ selection of such candidates will only be considered if the NOC has been issued by the office.

12) No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview
