The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), established in 1983, is an international, intergovernmental organisation conceived as a Centre of excellence for research, training and technology transfer to industry in the field of biotechnology to promote sustainable global development. The Centre conducts innovative research in life sciences and strengthens the research capability of its over 60 Member States through training, funding programs and advisory services. Located in Trieste (Italy), New Delhi (India) and Cape Town (South Africa), and in collaboration with over 40 Affiliated Centres worldwide, the three ICGEB Components provide a scientific and educational environment of the highest international standards.

Post : Project Scientist Position in Translational Health Group

One Project Scientist – I position is available in the ICGEB Translational Health Group for a Ministry of Earth Sciences (MES) sponsored project. The project title is "Exploring the Marine Ecosystems for Novel Bioresources with Human Health and Industrial Significance". Initially, this position is available for six months and, based on the candidate’s performance, can be further extended

Educational Qualification : The candidate should have completed a Ph.D. in any field of Life Sciences or Chemistry and have experience in the characterization of natural products, proteomics, mass-spectrometry, metabolomics, etc., are encouraged to apply.

Upper age limit : 35 years

Remuneration : Rs. 56,000/- per month + 27% house rent allowance (HRA)
