Applications are invited from Indian nationals only for project position(s) as per the details given below for the consultancy/research project(s) under the Principal investigator (Name : Prof. Shailly Tomar), Dept./Centre. Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
Title of project : Computer- aided structure based molecular engineering of nanobodies against SARS-CoV-2 spike protein
Sponsor of the project : ICMR
Qualifications : Masters degree in Biotechnology/Virology/ Biochemistry/Microbiology or any equivalent field with minimum 55% marks and must have qualified NET or GATE.
Desirable : Experience in microbiology and molecular biology techniques, and cloning, expression and purification of proteins, cell culture, ELISA, Western blot, PCR and RT- PCR
Emoluments : Rs. 37,000 + 9% HRA per month for 2 year and Rs. 42000 + 9% HRA per month for the 3rd year
Duration : 1 Year or till the project get over
Job description : Preparing media, placing bacterial culture, cloning, expression, purification and crystallization of proteins. Performing cell culture, ELISA, Western blot, PCR and RT-PCR
1. Candidates before appearing for the interview ensure that they are eligible for the position they intend to apply.

• Experience including research, industrial field and others.
• Attested copies of degree/certificate and experience certificate.
3. Candidate shall bring along with them the original degree(s)/certificate(s) and experience certificate(s) at the time of interview for verification.
4. Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience.
5. Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
The last date for application to be submitted to office of the Principal Investigator is 24th July 2025 by 5 PM. (not applicable for walk in interview)
The interview will be held in Committee room, BSBE dept on 28th July at 11:00 am (to be given only for walk in interview)
