The origins of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) are rooted in the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC), which was established in 1952 in Parel, Mumbai, under the purview of the Ministry of Health, Government of India. In 1966, ICRC was renamed the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and amalgamated with the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), creating the first comprehensive cancer centre in India - the Tata Memorial Centre ( TMC), an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.

Junior Research Fellow
Salary : Rs. 30,000/-p.m.
Essential Qualification : M. Sc.* in Life Sciences with 80% marks. Experience in immuno-fluorescence and FISH techniques is essential.
Duration : Six months and extendable (The work progress of candidate will be monitored and extension may be given after six months.)
Senior Research Fellow
Salary : Rs. 35,000/-p.m.
Essential Qualification : M. Sc.* in biological sciences with 60% marks.
Essential Experience : 2-year Post MSc
Extensive experience in molecular techniques is essential.
Duration : Six months and extendable (The work progress of candidate will be monitored and extension may be given after six months.)
Senior Research Fellow
Salary : Rs. 35,000/-p.m.
Essential Qualification : M. Sc.* in Life sciences with 60% marks.
Essential Experience : 2-year Post M.Sc.
Extensive experience in molecular cytogenetics and fluorescence microscopy is essential.
Duration : Six months and extendable (The work progress of candidate will be monitored and extension may be given after six months.)
*M.Sc. degree obtained after a one-year course will not be considered
