IASST requires Biotechnology / Microbiology candidates

The Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati, is an autonomous R&D Institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The Institute is engaged in frontier areas of research in the specific domain of Physical, Chemical, Mathematical and Biological Sciences.

Post : Project Associate-II

Applications are invited for a walk-in interview for the recruitment of the following position on a contractual basis under the DBT-funded project entitled “DBT-NER Advanced Level Institutional Biotech Hub (Phase II)” at the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Garchuk, Guwahati (Assam).

Number of post : 1 (One)

Salary : Rs 35,000 + 16% HRA per month for candidates qualifying CSIR-UGC NET (including LS)/ GATE/ National level examination conducted by Central Govt. department, agencies, Institutions. Or Rs 28,000 + 16% for others.

Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree in Biotechnology / Microbiology from a recognized university.
Minimum two years’ experience in Research and Development in Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations.

Age limit : 35 years (Relaxation as per GOI guidelines).

Tenure : Upto 31st January, 2026
