BBCI Looking for Scientific Assistant, Quality Manager, Scientific Officer

Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) was set up by a voluntary organization called 'Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Society Trust'. Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah (4th September 1893 - 25th September 1956) was a great physician, freedom fighter and philanthropist of Assam. In 1958 at a public meeting in Guwahati, a decision was taken to set up a cancer hospital at Guwahati to commemorate the memory of Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah. Late Debendra Nath Sarma was the Founder President and Late Dr. Kanak Chandra Borooah, illustrious brother of Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah was the Founder Secretary. Late Bimala Prasad Chaliha, Mahendra Mohan Choudhury, Bishnuram Medhi, Dr. Ghanashyam Das, Dr Birendra Nath Choudhury and many others worked relentlessly for the development of the Institute since its inception.

Applications are invited in prescribed format for the following contractual post for “Adult and Pediatric Hematolymphoid Unit” at Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati. The position is temporary and purely on contractual basis. It can be extended maximum upto 3 years only.

Scientific Assistant ‘B’ (Radio diagnosis)
Number of post : 02 (two) (Female only)
Salary : Rs. 42480/- per month per month (consolidated)
Qualification : B.Sc. (Radiological Imaging Technology) from a recognized University with 50% marks OR
B.Sc. in any subjects / B.Pharmacy with 50% marks and minimum two years Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology from State Board of Technical Education Or Any equivalent recognized Board / University.
Essential Experience : Minimum 01-year experience in CT and MRI from large hospital.
Age Limit : 30 years (Relaxable for experienced and deserving candidates)

Quality Manager
Number of post : 01 (one)
Salary : Rs. 81240/- per month (consolidated)
Qualification : Doctorate in Science (Ph.D.) or Masters in Science (M.Sc.). Diploma / Degree in Quality Management is desirable.
Essential Experience : Minimum 5 years’ laboratory experience. Sound technical knowledge related to tests performed at the laboratory, familiar with National / International accreditation bodies and quality systems such as NABL, NABH, ISO / ISE 15189, CAP, etc. auditing techniques, liaise with external auditing accreditation bodies.
Age Limit : 40 years (Relaxable for experienced and deserving candidates)

Scientific Officer ‘C’ (Microbiology)
Number of post : 01 (one)
Salary : Rs. 67320 /- per month (consolidated)
Qualification : M.Sc. (Microbiology) and degree or diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (M.L.T) from a University recognized by Central / State Government.
Essential Experience : 3 years’ experience in an institutional clinical Microbiology Department.
Age Limit : 35 years (Relaxable for experienced and deserving candidates)

Place of Posting : Dr. B Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati
Duration : Initial appointment is for 6 (Six) months, which is extendable solely based on the performance till co-terminus with project. The candidate will have NO right to claim for permanent employment under the mentioned Project / BBCI or for continuation of his / her services in any other project.
The number of post indicated in this advertisement is estimation only. Actual number of post may vary at the time of recruitment.
Age relaxation : 5 years in service candidates of TMC.
