The Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati, is an autonomous R&D Institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The Institute is engaged in frontier areas of research in the specific domain of Physical, Chemical, Mathematical and Biological Sciences.

Applications are invited for a walk-in interview for recruitment of following positions on a contractual basis at Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) Garchuk, Guwahati (Assam) under the DBT Ramalingaswami Re-entry project entitled “Understanding the virulence mechanism of Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus on citrus and developing disease control strategies.”

Post : Research Assistant

Number of posts : 1 (One)

Stipend : Rs 20,000.00 consolidated.

Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Botany from a recognized university.

Age limit : 28 years (Relaxation as per GOI guidelines).

Desirable Qualification : Master’s degree in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Plant- Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Botany from a recognized university.

Note: - The initial appointment will be for a period of one year and may be extended up to three years based on satisfactory performance. All positions are co-terminus with the project. The responsibilities of the selected candidates include conducting experiments, assisting in experimental preparations, organizing data collection, and contributing to the preparation and writing of manuscripts for publication. Candidates are required to produce all original documents during the interview. Additionally, they must bring self-attested copies of their academic credentials.
