Applications are invited for recruitment of one (1) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on contractual basis under DBT funded project “Unraveling the etiology, characterization and seed transmission studies of new viruses associated with vein necrosis disease of soybean” at the Division of Seed Science and Technology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi- 110012.

Emoluments (Fixed per month) : Rs. 37000/pm- + 27% HRA For 1st and 2nd year & Rs. 42000/pm-+27% HRA for 3rd year

Upper age limit : 35 years

Essential Qualifications : Essential: Master’s degree in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/ Plant Pathology/any relevant discipline of life sciences with 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor's Degree. Candidates having Post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master's degree should have NET/ GATE qualifications and 2 years of research experience as mentioned in OMNo. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD dated 13th July, 2015, OM No. Agril. Edn. 6/27/2014- HRD 9th October, 2015 of the Council and OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30th January, 2019

Desirable : Experience in basic molecular techniques (nucleic acid isolation, PCR, plasmid isolation, restriction, ligation, molecular cloning), Bioinformatics (Transcriptomics and Proteomics) and scientific writing; as evident from publications

Terms and Conditions
1. Age limit: Maximum age of 35 years for JRF as on date of interview (Age relaxation SC/ST/ OBC/PWD/ Women and other exempted categories as per GOI guidelines).
2. The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis which may be extended periodically subject to the performance of the candidate till the termination of the project.
3. The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is coterminus with the project.
4. Reporting time for walk-in-interview will be till 10.30 am and no candidates will be entertained after that.
5. The candidates will have to compulsorily fill in the application form (as per the format annexed), and
6. Attach copies of certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/LS/GATE
7. Equivalent certificate, degree certificates, and a recent photograph enclosed on the scan application form. Enclose the proof of experience, NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (if employed), and publications.

8. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or joining, if selected.
9. Only the candidates meeting essential qualifications would be interviewed.
10. Concealing of facts or CANVASSING in any form shall lead to the disqualification of such candidates.
11. In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of the New Delhi court only.
12. The final results of the interview will be hosted on the institute’s website 10 days after the interview, so no phone calls will be entertained before that.
