NIAB is an autonomous and premier institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The Institute aims to develop and harness novel and emerging biotechnological tools and applications, and take up research in cutting-edge areas for improving animal health and productivity as well as contribute to human health and welfare.
Online Walk-in interview for the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.
Post : Project Associate-II (02 Positions)
Project Title : “Evaluation of the antimicrobial potential of MXB-22510 against B. melitensis and B. abortus using in vitro and intracellular infection models.”
Duration : Six months
Eligibility criteria : Candidates must possess a Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, or a related discipline. A minimum of two years of research experience after post-graduation in a relevant field is required.
Experience : Applicants with prior hands-on experience in any of the following areas will be given preference :
i. BSL-3 Laboratory Experience: Experience working in Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) facilities, including the in vitro culturing of BSL-3 pathogens.
ii. Cell Culture and Infection Studies : Skilled in the maintenance and handling of mouse and human macrophage cell lines. Proficient in performing in vitro infection assays using bacterial or viral pathogens.
iii. Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing: Experienced in determining the Minimal Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of compounds against bacterial pathogens using standardized microbiological methods.
Upper Age limit : 35 years
Fellowship amount : Rs. 28,000/- PM + HRA
