The Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati, is an autonomous R&D Institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The Institute is engaged in frontier areas of research in the specific domain of Physical, Chemical, Mathematical and Biological Sciences.

Applications are invited for a walk-in interview for recruitment of following position on a contractual basis at Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) Garchuk, Guwahati (Assam) under the ANRF funded project entitled “Unraveling Host-Pathogen Dynamics and Anti-infective Therapeutics Using CRISPR-Cas9 for tackling Multidrug-Resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection”.

Post : Project Assistant -I

Number of posts : 1 (One)
Stipend : Rs 27,000.00 + 20% HRA per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology from a recognized university.
Age limit : 28 years (Relaxation as per GOI guidelines).
Desirable Qualification : Master’s degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology from a recognized university.

Note: - The initial appointment will be for a period of one year and may be extended up to three years based on satisfactory performance. All positions are co-terminus with the project. The responsibilities of the selected candidates include conducting experiments, assisting in experimental preparations, organizing data collection, and contributing to the preparation and writing of manuscripts for publication. Candidates are required to produce all original documents during the interview. Additionally, they must bring self-attested copies of their academic credentials.
