Post : Project Associate-I in SERB-POWER funded project
Applications are invited for the position of Project Associate-I in the Department of Chemistry at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB-POWER grant) sponsored research project on Porphyrinoids for energy-relevant applications.
Principal Investigator : Dr. Woormileela Sinha
Broad area of Research : Bio-inorganic/Inorganic Chemistry, Porphyrinoids, Electrocatalysis
Project Details : i) This project will involve design and synthesis of a class of porphyrinoids.
ii) To explore the coordination chemistry and electrochemistry of above-synthesized molecules.
iii) Further utilization of these porphyrinoids as electrocatalysts will also be tested for energy-relevant applications
Duration of the project : 3 years. (The appointment will be renewed every year based on satisfactory performance).
Fellowship Amount (Rs.) : Rs. 25000 + 16% HRA per month
Accommodation : Hostel accommodation will be provided subjected to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.
Qualification : M.Sc. (Chemistry) or M.Pharm. (with specialization in Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Natural Product Chemistry) or M.Tech. (Chemical Engineering)
Selected candidate will get a chance to register for Ph.D. program at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus after at least 6 months of joining (subjected to successful clearance of written test and/or interview for Ph.D. program).
