BCIL was inaugurated in 1990 by the then Prime Minister of India, Hon’ble Shri Chandra Shekhar, in presence of the Finance Minister, Shri. Yashwant Sinha and Dr. Manju Sharma, Secretary, Department of Biotechnology. Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL) is a public limited company, promoted by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India and All India Financial Institutions for providing the necessary linkages among stakeholders and business support for facilitating accelerated commercialization of Biotechnology.  BCIL was incorporated under the Indian Companies Act 1956. The Board of Directors of BCIL consists of senior representatives of DBT, Council of Scientifi c and Industrial Research (CSIR), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), leading all India fi nancial institutions and the biotechnology industry.

Post : Programme Manager - 02 posts

A programme of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, for development, coordination and monitoring of biotechnology programmes in the North Eastern States of India managed by the Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL), New Delhi.

Educational Qualifications
Ph.D / M.Tech / M.Sc in Biotechnology / Plant Sciences / Agriculture / Veterinary Sciences with first class in post graduation.

Experience
Candidates having M.Tech./M.Sc. need to have a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience. Candidates having relevant experience in Agriculture/ Plant Sciences and familiarity with scientific project management will be preferred.

Job Description
Responsible for closely working with senior officers and experts in identifying priorities and need based projects, management and implementation of the programme activities, prepare detailed annual work plans, manage the programme budget, preparation and submission of quarterly and annual progress report, budgets, and financial reports. In addition, the candidate will interact with the various stakeholders including state governments and institutions. Frequent travel may be undertaken to the NE region.

SALARY: Rs. 42,000/- per month (Consolidated)

Age limit: Maximum 30 years as on July 26, 2019 The above posts are contractual, initially for a period of 1 year with a scope of further extension.
