Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, popularly known as CIMAP, is a frontier plant research laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Established originally as Central Indian Medicinal Plants Organisation (CIMPO) in 1959, CIMAP is steering multidisciplinary high quality research in biological and chemical sciences and extending technologies and services to the farmers and entrepreneurs of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) with its research headquarter at Lucknow and Research Centres at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pantnagar and Purara. CIMAP Research Centres are aptly situated in different agro-climatic zones of the country to facilitate multi-location field trials and research.

CSIR‐Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CSIR‐CIMAP), a multidisciplinary multilocational research laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) invites applicants for Walk‐in‐interview on 12‐07‐2019 from Indian Nationals for engagement as Consultants on temporary (non‐official) in the area of IORA‐RCSTT Coordination Centre on Medicinal Plants at CSIR‐CIMAP, Lucknow.

Essential Qualification & Experience : BSc./MSc in Plant Sciences with Master in Business Administration as it involves knowledge of plants and understanding the business and industry of the IORA member nations.

Job Requirement : The Consultant will coordinate annual meetings, day to day communications and affairs of the project.

Consultancy fee : Upto Rs 1.00Lakh Consolidated per month depending upon candidates eligibility.

Programme Administrator

Essential Qualification & Experience : M.Sc / Ph.D in Plant Sciences with specific knowledge in Plant Taxonomy & Economic Botany. Experience in IT database preparation and IT knowledge will bw added advantage.

Job Requirement : To prepare, maintain and develop a large database of Medicinal plants and related industry in IORA member countries including India

Consultancy fee : Upto Rs 50,000/‐ Consolidated per month depending upon candidates eligibility.

Period of engagement of Consultant: Consultant will be appointed on temporary (non official) basis and the appointment may be cancelled, at any time by CSIR, without assigning any reason whatsoever by giving one month notice. Initial appointment will be for one year and may be renewed on the basis of performance evaluation.

AGE‐LIMIT: The maximum age limit of Consultants will generally be 65 years during the period of their.engagement.

Procedure for selection of Consultants: Interested candidates may appear brfore the committee on the date and Time mentioned above in the Auditorium of the Institute for walk‐in‐interview on 12‐07‐2019 alongwith their signed Biodata on prescribed performa alongwith original and attested copies of marksheets/certificates/Experience certificate and a recent Passport size photograph.

If the number of candidates is large a written test may be conducted to shortliste the candidates for Interview. The Consultant will be selected on the basis of the information furnished by the candidates in application Form and performance in Walk‐in‐interview conducted by a Committee.

An agreement will be required to be signed by the Consultant.

The Consultancy will not entitle the concerned person to any claim of Government service and/ or CSIR service, in any manner

General conditions for engaging Consultant:
1. The Maximum continuous engagement of a person as Consultant will be co‐terminus with the IORA Project.
2. The selected persons should be ready to serve at any of the offices/Research Centers of CSIR‐ CIMAP located at Lucknow, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pantnagar, Purara (Distt. Bageshwar) or at any place of posting in India as per need of CSIR‐CIMAP R&D activities.
3. The period of experience in the requisite discipline/area of work wherever prescribed, shall be counted with effect from the date of acquiring the prescribed minimum educational qualifications required for the post.
4. The cutoff date for determining the qualification, age and experience of a candidate will be date of walk‐in‐interview.
5. The decision of CSIR‐CIMAP/ CSIR in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection and conduct of interview will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any candidate.
6. Incomplete applications and applications not supported by attested copies of certificates of educational qualification, experience certificate, etc are liable to be summarily rejected.
7. Canvassing in any form and bringing in influence political or otherwise will be treated as disqualification.
8. No TA will be admissible.
