NIAB is an autonomous and premier institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The Institute wishes to develop and harness novel and emerging biotechnological tools and applications, and take up research in cutting-edge areas for improving animal health and productivity as well as contribute to human health and welfare.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following positions at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad

One position of Senior Research Fellow or Research Associate
Projects : DBT funded project entitled “Unraveling Molecular Mechanisms of Homologues recombination and Germ Cell maintenance to Prevent Birth Defects, Extend Human and livestock Fertility”, PI: Dr. HBD Prasada Rao, Scientist-E.
Essential qualification: PhD / MS in Life Sciences. Candidate with the core expertise and experience in Oocyte culturing, chromosome biology, micro manipulation, small and large animal handling is desirable.
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years after Ph.D. or 5-6 years after MS.
Fellowship amount: Rs.38000/-PM+30% HRA = 49,400/- PM as per the DST guidelines.
Age: 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)

One position of Senior Research Fellow
Projects : SERB (DST) funded project entitled “Immunocharacterization of Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) from Leptospira: Towards development of LPS based vaccine”, PI: Dr. Syed Mohd Faisal, Scientist-E.
Essential qualification: Post Graduate Degree in life sciences with NET qualification or Post Graduate degree in professional course. (Eligibility criteria as per DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21.10.2014). However Non NET candidates can also apply who will be paid as per their eligibility.
Experience: Candidate with experience in molecular biology and Immunological techniques and animal (mice, hamster) handling is desirable. Candidates having prior experience in working with Leptospira will be preferred.
Fellowship amount: Rs.28000/-PM+30% HRA = 36,400/- PM as per the DST guidelines.
Age: 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)

One position of Project Fellow
Projects : CSIR-HRDG funded project entitled “Development of novel mucosal delivery system and testing its efficacy against Salmonella infection”., PI: Dr. Syed Mohd Faisal, Scientist-E
Essential qualification: Post Graduate Degree in life sciences. NET/GATE is not required.
Experience: Candidate with experience in molecular biology and Immunological techniques and animal (mice, hamster) handling is desirable. Candidates having prior experience in working with liposome/microparticle delivery systems will be preferred.
Fellowship amount: Rs. 20,000/- PM (Consolidated)
Age: 28 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
