Applications are invited for the post of SRF at NIFTEM

National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) was conceptualized by Government of India on persistent demand of the food industry to have an apex body as a "One Stop Solution Provider" for the various problems of the sector. Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India has set up this institute with an initial investment of Rs. 500 crore (US $100 million). The institute is spread over an area of 100 acres. The institute intends to act as a centre of excellence and an apex world class centre of global standards in the area of food technology and management. It will cater to the needs of various stakeholders such as entrepreneurs, industries, exporters, policy makers, government and existing institutions. NIFTEM being an apex institution under Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) have developed strong linkages with industries.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of SRF on purely contractual basis to work in NIFTEM funded following research projects -

Title of the Project: EVALUATION OF ANTI-BIOFILM, ANTI-MICROBIAL EFFECT OF NATURAL COMPOUNDS AGAINST FOOD-BORNE PATHOGENS

Essential qualification
B. E./ B. Tech. Or Masters with 60% marks in the areas of Microbiology, / Biotechnology/ Medical Biotechnology/ Food Biotechnology or any discipline of Life Sciences with specialization or thesis in Microbiology and Molecular Biology related area. Candidates with background of working experience in bacterial gene expression, antimicrobial assays and molecular biology will be preferred. Candidate must have one year research experience in the relevant area. (Desirable: Two years research experience)

Age : Maximum 40 years for male and Maximum 45 years for female (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per Government rules).

Fellowship per month : 25000/- + HRA (@10%)

Preferential qualification : Candidates must have expertise in handling and working in the field of bacteriology and molecular biology.
