CDFD, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology invites applications from Indian nationals for the following purely temporary vacancy in the project titled “Genomic Surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 in India: Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG)”.
Post : Project Associate - II : (01 No.post)
Age Limit : 35 years
Emoluments : 35,000/- + HRA
Essential qualifications and Experience :
1. M.Sc
2. Minimum 2 years research experience in Life Sciences after M.Sc
Desirable Qualifications :
1. Experience in RNA Extraction, Real Time PCR
2. Experience of working in Molecular Biology Laboratory
Nature of Duty
Candidate will be expected to work in SARS-COV-2 analysis laboratory involving work related to RNA extraction from virus, Real Time PCR and result analysis.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The general terms and conditions governing the Advertisement No. CDFD/EMPC/02/Apr’22 are as follows:
1. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
2. Depending on the qualifications, experience and recommendations of the Selection Committee, the selected candidates may be placed in a scale and designation lower than the grade advertised/applied (in the same group).
3. All these positions are purely temporary and are initially for a maximum of one year. They could be extended/terminated depending on the continuation of the project(s).
4. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/Ex-service person applicants will be as per Govt. of India rules.
5. Relaxation of age for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/Ex-service person/ Women applicants will be as per Govt. of India rules.
6. Mere fulfilling the minimum qualifications will not entitle the candidate for being called for interview. The decision of the Director, CDFD will be final in this respect and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
7. Any of the selected individuals may from time to time be assigned to perform any other duties commensurate with their qualifications, by the Director, CDFD.
8. The Director, CDFD reserves the right to suitably change/relax any of the above conditions. He also reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason.

substantiating their educational qualifications and experience:

The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for interview to reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience as per the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
