Job Description
• Design, plan and conduct toxicity/nanotoxicity studies to assess the safety, biocompatibility, and risk associated with engineered nanomaterials.
• Perform in vitro and in vivo toxicological assays, including cytotoxicity, genotoxicity, oxidative stress, and bioaccumulation studies.
• Evaluate exposure pathways, dose-response relationships, and mechanistic aspects of nanoparticle-induced toxicity.
• Develop and standardize toxicological testing protocols in compliance with national and international regulatory guidelines (OECD, ISO, CPCSEA, GLP).
• Analyze, interpret, and statistically validate experimental data related to toxicity/nanotoxicity and risk assessment.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, scientific papers, and presentations on findings for internal review, peer-reviewed journals, scientific conferences, safety dossiers, SOPs, and contribute to regulatory submissions.
• Conduct risk assessments and advise on the safe handling, use, and disposal of nanomaterials in compliance with national and international safety regulations and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory specialists for product development, environmental safety assessment, and regulatory specialists, to provide comprehensive safety evaluations and support the development of safer nanoproducts.
• Support training and capacity-building activities related to nanotoxicology and biosafety.
Candidate Profile
Ph.D. in Toxicology / Nanotechnology / Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Pharmacology / Environmental Sciences or any other relevant discipline from a recognized university- with demonstrated research experience in nanotoxicity.
Skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word- Excel- PowerPoint) for data analysis- documentation- and presentations; working knowledge of statistical and data analysis software (e.g.- SPSS- R- GraphPad Prism); familiarity with image analysis and toxicology-related software- and effective use of scientific databases- reference management tools- and bioinformatics resources relevant to nanotoxicity studies.
