Research Internship Program for Indian Student at USTC

The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) research internship program provides the opportunity for graduate students or 3rd/4th year undergraduate students to participate in research projects to gain valuable experience on a variety of cutting-edge research at USTC.

Cost
Tuition :
2,160 RMB per month (undergraduate student or master student);
13,000 RMB per half year (undergraduate student or master student);
26,000 RMB per year (undergraduate student or master student);
2,660 RMB per month (PhD student) ;
16,000 RMB per half year (PhD student);
32,000 RMB per year (PhD student)
International student dormitory : 500-1,000RMB per month depending on room type and size
Insurance : 160 RMB per month
Payment Method : Upon acceptance of the offer, the admitted student will be notified to pay the tuition online. The official admission documents will be sent via email only after the tuition payment has been confirmed. Students are required to purchase insurance online before their arrival. Accommodation fees should be paid upon registration at the school.

Scholarship
USTC offers limited scholarships to outstanding students. All applicants will be evaluated.

Application Deadline
Applicants who apply for USTC Fellowship Level A are required to complete application procedures online during the following period:
Jan.1 — Mar.31 (for fall semester)
July1 — Sept.30 (for spring semester)
Applicants who apply for USTC Fellowship Level B, Level C or support by themselves are required to complete application procedures online at least three months before starting date to USTC.

Internship Duration
3 months — 1 year

Eligibility
1. Non-Chinese citizens with a foreign passport
2. Between 18-40 years old
3. In good health
4. Currently enrolled full-time students in undergraduate Year 3/4, Master's, or doctoral programs
5. No criminal record
6. Good command of English

Visa, Insurance, and Accommodation
1. Visa
Admitted students must submit the Visa Application Form (JW201 or JW202) and the Admission Notice to a Chinese Embassy or Consulate to apply for a student visa. They are required to enter China with the student visa and ensure it remains valid for the entire duration of their stay.
2. Insurance
International students must purchase insurance online in accordance with relevant national regulations and university requirements.
3. Accommodation
USTC Fellowship Level A/Level B students are offered on-campus accommodation on a first-come, first-served basis. If on-campus accommodation is full, students are required to find off-campus accommodation on their own.
USTC Fellowship Level C/self-financed students need to find off-campus on your own but we will provide assistance to find housing.
International students who live off campus shall register with the local police station in time. Full address and telephone number of the residence must be submitted at the time of registration.
