Roles and Responsibilities
The Consultant will be based at Family Planning Division of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and will directly work under the supervision of Additional Commissioner, Family Planning. Specific responsibilities of the position are as follows :
• Undertake demand estimation and support procurement for all contraceptives for FP Division MoHFW.
• Coordinate and follow up with the Procurement division and CMSS for streamlining contraceptive supplies.
• Coordinate and follow up with GMSDs and CMSS warehouses for timely delivery of supplies to the State/UTs.
• Identifying the gaps in the existing supply chain and provide technical assistance for streamline and strengthening the FP supply chain.
• Identifying the gaps in the quality of the contraceptives as reported by the states.
• Technical support to the MoHFW for roll out of FP LMIS.
• Technical support to the IT Cell for maintenance and rectification of technical glitches in FPLMIS application.
• Capacity building and handholding States on logistics & supply chain and FPLMIS.
• Coordinate and follow up with State/UTs for organizing trainings on FPLMIS.
• Analysis of supply status of all commodities in relation with Quarterly progress report.
• Supportive supervision visits in the states to strengthen Family Planning Program with special emphasis on FP supply chain.
• Preparing regular updates on the supply status of the states.
• Any other work assigned by supervisor from time to time.

Eligibility
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
• MBA in Health/Hospital Management/MSW/ MPH/Masters in Logistics & Supply Chain Management/ Post Graduate-Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management with at least 5 years of experience of working in public health sector.
• Minimum three years’ experience of working in managing logistics and supply chain of Family Planning commodities is essential.

Essential Skills & Competencies
• Proficient in computers and good knowledge of working on software related to supply and logistics management.
• Technical knowledge of supplies and logistics management.
• Good English communication and writing skills.
• Good inter-personnel skills

Age : Upper limit 60 years as on last date for receiving application and having sound health to undertake field visits.

Remuneration Range : Between Rs. 90,000/- to Rs. 1,50,000/- per month.

Location : New Delhi

Reporting : Additional Commissioner (Family Planning), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
