National Institute of Animal Biotechnology invites applications from Life Sciences candidates

The National Institute of Animal Biotechnology is an Indian autonomous research establishment of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology (India). The NIAB vision is to demonstrate excellence in promoting and commercializing leads in biotechnology and to produce globally competitive livestock products, pharmaceuticals and biologicals for animal health care.

Post : Project Technical Support–III (One Position)

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Project Technical Support–III under an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)–funded project entitled “X- ray crystal structure determination of V protein and its complexes from Nipah virus and Newcastle disease virus, structure-guided screening and validation of potential anti-V drugs.” The project will be carried out under the guidance of Dr. Madhuri Subbiah.

Fellowship : 28,000/- per month + 30% HRA
Duration of the Project : 3 years (The appointment will be renewed annually based on satisfactory performance.)

Eligibility Criteria : Candidates must fulfil any one of the following : Three-year graduate degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University/Institute with three years of post-qualification experience OR Master’s degree in Technology/Life Sciences from a recognized University/Institute OR Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Technology/Life Sciences.

Desired Experience : Cloning, expression, and purification of recombinant proteins, Biophysical characterization of proteins, Handling of cell culture systems

Upper age limit : 35 years

Note : Only Provisional Degree Certificate or Convocation Degree Certificate will be accepted as proof of educational qualification. Experience certificates must be issued by the Head of the Department/Office.
