Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments, seven inter-disciplinary academic centres and five schools covering all the major engineering , science, healthcare, management and humanities disciplines, offering B.Tech., B.Des., BSc(Hons), M.Tech., M.Des., M.Sc., MBA, M.A. and Ph.D. programmes. Qualifications : Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR having 3 yrs of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/ M.Pharm/ ME/ M.Tech with atleast 1 research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal
Age limit : 35 or less.
Desirable : Experience in Microbiology, Biochemistry Molecular Biology or Fermentation techniques.
