Forensic Science Laboratory Offers Research Opportunities for Life Sciences, Biochemistry & Biotechnology Candidates

Forensic Science Laboratory Delhi is a multi - disciplinary scientific organization that includes highly organized, trained professionals and well equipped examination facilities as per ISO/IEC 17025: 2017. The Laboratory coordinates, develops and disseminates new information to investigators and fraternity members of Law Administration Agency through the innovative scientific techniques to resolve the conventional and new pattern of crime.

Applications are Invited from eligible candidates to fill the post of junior Scientific Assistant (JSA) on contract basis for a period of one year or till regular recruitment, whichever Is earlier, as mentioned below

Junior Scientific Assistant (Biology)
No of posts : OBC-04 Total=04
Educational and other qualifications required : Essential; Master's degree In Zoology or Botany or Microbiology or Anthropology or Biology or Human Biology or Life Science or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Genetics or Biotechnology or Molecular Biology or Forensic Science with Zoology or Botany as one of the subjects or papers during all the three years of Bachelor of Science level from a recognized university. OR B.E./B.Tech. In Biotechnology from a recognized University.

Junior Scientific Assistant (Chemistry)
No of posts : 02 (UR-01, SC-01)
Educational and other qualifications required : Essential:-Master's degree in Chemistry or Toxicology or Biochemistry or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subject or papers during all the three years of Bachelor of Science Level from a recognized University.

Duties to be performed by Junior Scientific Assistant (JSA) : Assisting senior officers Sn examining forensic cases, helping In preparing reports, visiting/attending crime scenes, photography & videography of scene of crime, identification, collection & preservation of scientific evidence available at crime scene (24X7 shift manner) and any other work given by superiors.
Remuneration : Fixed remuneration will be paid as under and no other allowances shall be admissible/paid. Junior Scientific Assistant - Rs. 42,632/- per month consolidated.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 27 years as on 15,01.2026 [Age relaxation as per govt. Rules l.e-OBC-03 years, SC-05 years, ST-05 years].

Terms and Conditions
• The appointment for the posts shall be on "Contract Basis" for a period of one year, or till regular recruitment, whichever Is earlier.
• The above vacancies are subject to change at any given point of time and the FSL reserves the right whether or not to fill up any post,
• Candidates are required to bring original documents with self * attested photocopies of degree/certificate/ testimonials and other relevant documents on the day of Walk-In- Interview. Candidates are also required to bring any Identity proof along with self - attested copy I.e. Driving License / Voter I Card / Aadhaar Card /Bank pass book with photograph duly attested of any Nationalized Bank {at least 3 years old ) / pass port or any other proof deemed fit by this office.
• Reservation in respect of OBC candidate will be applicable as per 0,M.No,F19(02)/ 2011/ S.IV/Vol.1/856 dated 31.05.2021 Issued by Services Department, GNCT of Delhi.
• List of candidates shortlisted for Interview will be displayed on the Notice Board and official website of FORENSIC SCIENCE LABORTORY, GNCT of Delhi.
• The candidates appearing for the Interview should bear the cost of traveling and stay under their own arrangement and No TA/DA will be paid under any circumstances.
• In case Interview cannot be completed on the scheduled date/duration, the Interview shall be conducted on the next working day.
• No correspondence or personal enquiries on telephone shall be entertained.
• The Head of Department (FSL), Govt, of NCT of Delhi can terminate the services at any time without assigning any reason, In case any selected candidate wishes to quit, one month prior notice or surrender of one month remuneration in lieu of Notice is required.

• In the event of selection/ appointment the candidate shall have to submit an undertaking stating that he/ she shall not stake any claim nor file any court case for regularization of service in any Court of Law.
• No Allowance / facility available to the regular employees shall be payable to person engaged.
• The names of selected candidates will be displayed on the Notice Board and official website of FORENSIC SCIENCE LABORTORY, GNCT of Delhi. No postal /personal Intimation will be sent to the candidates. Tbe candidates must be ready to join after the selection.
• The contract staff will be /required to work 24 X 7 in shift manner and can be posted
• anywhere In Delhi or on Mobile forensic vans.
• Contractual staff may be allowed 8 Casual Leave and 2 Restricted Holidays In a Calendar year or proportionally of tenure thereof, No earned leave, medical leave or any other kind of leave will be permitted.
• Selected candidates may be offered contract subject to verification of documents medical, character and antecedents.
• No relaxation will be given In working hours to the selected candidate for any reason what so ever.
• The selected candidates shall have to execute a contract agreement accepting the above terms and condition on a non-Judlclal stamp paper of Rs.100/- before their appointment on contract basis.
• If any holiday declared on scheduled dates due to reason what so ever, the Interview will be done on very next working day. Candidates are advised to check website fsl.delhi.gov.in for any changes/updates.
