Qualification : M.Sc. in Virology / Molecular Biology / Bioinformatics / Biotechnology / Microbiology from a recognized university.

Essential Experience : Hands on experience in molecular virology techniques, including conventional PCR, real – time PCR (qPCR) and multiplex PCR assay development and optimization.
Demonstrated experience in viral RNA extraction and handling, including isolation from clinical samples (CSF, serum, plasma, swabs), with knowledge of RNA quality control and contamination prevention.
Familiarity with biosafety practices relevant to virology laboratories (BSL – 2 / BSL – 2+)
Desirable Experience : Experience working with RNA viruses, including neurotropic viruses and arboviruses.
Exposure to metagenomics and next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows, including sample processing, library preparation support, and nucleic acid quality assessment.
Experience in clinical research projects involving sample processing, biobanking, SOP adherence, and quality control.
Additional Skills (Preferred) : Scientific writing skills, including preparation of technical reports, SOPs, and assistance in manuscript drafting.
Ability to maintain laboratory documentation, reagents, and inventories.
Coordination with clinical, laboratory, and bioinformatics teams.
