AIIMS Bhopal is an apex healthcare institute, established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self-sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training.

Applications are invited from highly motivated Indian nationals for the position of Project Manager (1), Junior Research Fellow (2) and Data entry specialist (2) in a research project funded by ISID – Pfizer Grant Challenge, Competitive Grant Program on purely temporary basis with following details:

Title of the project : Establishing a Public Health Pharmacy (PHP) Model for the Development of a Multifaceted Antimicrobial Stewardship in an Indian Ambulatory Care Setting.

Project Manager
Number of Post : One (01)
Essential Qualifications : Ph.D in (Pharmacy or Pharmacology) or M.B.B.S / M.Pharm (Pharmacy Practice, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacology) / Pharm.D / M.Sc in Medical Pharmacology / Master’s degree in Public Health from a recognized university/Institute with 60 % marks and 1 year of research experience.
Desirable Excellent : project management skills and research implementation Knowledge in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in the community settings Experience in antimicrobial stewardship program (AMSP)
Consolidated Salary : Rs 38,984/- (consolidated) per month
Age limit : Not exceeding 35 years (as on the last date of application). Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be applicable as per rule. Age relaxation may be given to deserving candidates by Competent Selection Committee
Tenure : 3 Years
Job Description :
1. The position is purely on temporary basis
2. Design and perform research experiments assigned by the PI.
3. Develop a public health pharmacy (PHP) model-based antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) intervention in multidimensional levels (prescriber, pharmacist, and patient) in outpatient settings for appropriate behaviour changes in antibiotic prescribing and dispensing practices, leading to more responsible antibiotic uses at the community
4. Any other duties assigned by PI/Co-I from time to time.
5. Timely preparation of progress report, financial report and manuscript.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Number of Post : Two (02)
Essential Qualifications : M.Pharm / Pharm.D / M.Sc. Medical Pharmacology / M.Sc in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry / Post Graduate in Public Health from a recognized institution with 60 % Marks.
Desirable Excellent : Knowledge/Experience in antimicrobial stewardship Knowledge of current antibiotic utilization patterns and resistance
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 33,557 /-(consolidated) per month.
Age limit : Below 30 years (as on the last date of application). Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be applicable as per rule.
Tenure : 3 Years
Job Description :
1. The position is purely on temporary basis
2. The study is targeted at GP clinics, pharmacists in retail pharmacies and outpatients
3. Need analysis, Development of core public health pharmacy professionals, Public health pharmacy-based AMS interventions and evaluation of the implemented AMSP
4. Assisting in procurement of consumables related to project.
5. Any other duties assigned by PI/Co-I from time to time.

How to apply
Interested candidates have to send scanned copy duly filled application form (which can be downloaded from aiimsbhopal.edu.in/jobs.aspx) to email id murali.tmc@aiimsbhopal.edu.in on or before 31st January 2024 (Wednesday) 5 pm. No hard copy or print needs to be sent. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written examination/interview.


Date and Time of Written Test/ Interview : Depending upon number of applications received, candidates will be shortlisted for written test/skill test followed by Interview. All shortlisted candidates shall report for written test and / interview on 9th Feb 2024 (Friday) no later than 09:30 AM. The venue is Department of Translational Medicine, First Floor of the Nursing College Building, All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal, Saket Nagar, Bhopal-462020, Madhya Pradesh.

When called, the candidates shall report for appearing in the written test and/interview with :
1. Duly Filled Application Form
2. Covering letter and detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) along with passport size photographs (2).
3. Self-attested photocopies of proof of date of birth (class 10th certificate/ school leaving certificate. eligibility qualification, mark-sheets, degrees, experience certificate, caste certificate, Poster /oral presentations certificate, publications , qualifying degree registration with statutory council (if applicable) and other relevant testimonials which the candidate may wish to bring to the knowledge of the selection committee

Terms & Conditions
1. It is candidates’ responsibility to ascertain and ensure their eligibility as per the prescribed qualification and experience. Any misinformation detected at any stage will make the candidate liable for legal action. Permission to appear in the selection process does not approve the eligibility of the candidate. Even after qualifying the selection process the candidate may be rendered disqualified at the time of document verification if he/ she does not fulfil essential eligibility criteria.
2. Age concession: Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates, Retrenched Government Employes, Departmental candidates (including projects), and ex- servicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by the central Government from time to time will be applicable as per rule. Age concession to the extent of service is rendered in the research projects will also be admissible for experienced and skilled persons as per the competent selection committee. The effective date of fulfilling eligibility criteria (including qualifications and experience. Etc.), upper age limit will be the date of walk-in/ written examination.
3. Tenure: The assignment will be governed as per the rules / instructions received from the Pfizer / competent authority from time to time. This appointment will not vest any right to claim by the candidate for regular appointment or permanent absorption in AIIMS Bhopal or Pfizer or for continued contractual appointment.
4. Expiry of Contract: The contractual appointment can be terminated at any time by either side by giving 30 days’ notice or salary in lieu thereof.
5. Leave: The leave entitlement of the appointee shall be governed in terms of the Pfizer leave policy governing Global research projects as amended from time to time.
6. Accommodation: No hostel or any other accommodation will be provided by the Institute / Principal Investigator.
7. The candidate who is already in government service shall submit 'No Objection Certificate" from the present employer at the time of walk-in-Interview
8. The prescribed qualification is minimum and mere possessing the same does not entitle any candidate for selection.
9. The candidate should bring along original certificates in support of his/her age, educational/ professional qualification, experience etc., two recent passport size colour photographs and a one set of self-attested photocopies of the relevant documents failing which he/she will not be allowed to participate in the walk-in-written test.
10. The candidate applying in response to his advertisement should satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility in all respects.

11. No travelling or other allowances will be paid to the candidate for appearing in written examination or for joining the post.
12. Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
13. Private practice of any type is prohibited.
14. He / She can be posted at any place as per the requirement of the project including rural areas / field sites.
15. He / She is expected to conform to the rules of conduct and discipline as applicable to the institute employees. 16. The decision of the competent authority regarding the selection of the candidate will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
17. The candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
18. In case any information given or declaration by the candidate is found to be false if the candidate has willfully suppressed any material information relevant to his appointment, he/she will be liable to be removed from the service and any action taken as deemed fit by the appointing authority.
19. Applications incomplete in any aspect will be summarily rejected.
20. The Competent Authority reserves the right of any amendment, cancellation and changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or giving notice.
