Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Government of Punjab (GoP) with the financial support of Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India (GoI) setup Punjab Biotechnology Incubator (PBTI) in 2005. PBTI is a component of Agri Food Biotechnology Cluster, Knowledge City, Sector 81, SAS Nagar (Mohali). PBTI, a registered Society under Societies Registration Act is professionally governed by Governing Council under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Punjab. PBTI started providing hi-end world class NABL accredited analytical services to Agri, Food, Environment and Allied Sectors from transit premises in Mohali. In addition, contract research services, technology validation services and Project Management Consultancy (PMC)/Project Management Advisory (PMA) services are also being provided. Farmers, entrepreneurs, startups, industries, exporters and regulators etc. are using these services. PBTI is acting as knowledge partner for setting up and operationalizing Food, water and environment monitoring laboratories in public and private domain. PBTI's facilities have been technically strengthened and upgraded from time to time with the support from different ministries including Ministry of Commerce & Industries, GoI; Ministry of Food Processing Industries, GoI; Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, GoI and FSSAI, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GoI.

Punjab Biotechnology Incubator (PBTI) invites applications for following project posts through direct recruitment purely on contractual basis under different projects of Mission Tandrust Punjab, for a period of one year.
Project 1 : Safety evaluation of Drinking water sources for Chemical (trace level) & Biological contaminants
Senior Project Associate –Three (03)
Fixed Pay (Rs.) : 42000 + 16% HRA
Eligibility criteria : Essential: i. Masters Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent: and ii. Four (04) Years experience in Research & development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services OR Doctoral degree in Science/ Engineering / Technology/ Pharma from a recognized University or equivalent Upper Age limit : 40 years
Project 2 : Safety Evaluation vegetables grown in Punjab w.r.t. Metal Contamination
Senior Project Associate – One (01)

Eligibility criteria : Essential: i. Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent: and ii. Two (02) Years experience in Research & Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services
Upper Age limit : 35 years
Candidates having requisite qualifications and experience may submit application in the prescribed format PROFORMA-I which is available on the website of PBTI i.e along with the demand draft (Non-refundable) of Rs. 500/- (for each post) in favour of “Punjab Biotechnology Incubator” payable at Mohali. No fee will be payable by Schedule Caste (SC)/ Schedule Tribes (ST) candidates.
After sending the hard copy, the candidates are also required to send a soft copy in M.S. Word format of the PROFORMA-II through e-mail on PBTI’s e-mail address i.e. rectt.pbti@gmail.com. Incomplete or without fees applications will not be considered. CGPA conversion to percentage formula of the University/Institute should be provided alongwith DMC/Degree. The Appointing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.
