The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients. Hamdard University is setting up Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (HIMSR) in its campus of Jamia Hamdard at Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi-110062.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
Applications are invited for one position of Junior Research Fellow in the SERB (EMR) funded project entitled “Design and synthesis of Cyanopyrimidine derivatives targeting Histone demethylase-1 as potential anticancer agents”. (Principal Investigator: Dr. M. Shaquiquzzaman, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, School of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Jamia Hamdard).
Minimum Qualification :
First Class M. PHARM. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) or M.S. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)
Qualified GPAT or NET examination of CSIR / UGC / ICMR.
Emoluments : As per DST norms
Tenure : Initially for a period of one year with the provision of further continuation (tilt duration of the project) subjected to satisfactory performance of the fellow.
Emolument : Junior Research Fellowship as per SERB norms.
