It actually started its academic and administrative activities under the leadership of Prof. Dr. N. K. Thakare, the first Vice Chancellor of the university, from academic year 1991-92. Prof. Dr. S. F. Patil took over as the second Vice Chancellor of this University on 14th Aug. 1996. During his tenure two new academic departments viz. Department of Comparative Languages & Literature and Department of Information Technology were started on the campus. Prof. Dr. R. S. Mali took over as the third Vice Chancellor of the University on 14th August, 2001. Under his able and visionary leadership University progressed at a faster pace towards excellence. He encouraged students and teachers to undertake Water Harvesting programs on the campus, and as a outcome of this, small bands were constructed by the students.

First Class in B.Pharm. / B.Tech. (Pharma Tech.) and M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutics/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ M.Tech. (Pharma. Tech.) Ph.D. is desirable.

NOTES:
1. Weightage shall be given to the applicants who have published work of high quality and who have succeeded in bringing funds by submitting research projects to various funding agencies such as UGC/ CSIR/ DST/DBT/TWAS/ ISSR/AICTE etc.
2. No TA/DA will be paid either for attending the interview' or for joining the post.
3. As per provision contained in State Govt. Notification No. SRV.2000/ CR(17/2000)/XII dated 28th March, 2005, issued by General Administration Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai, candidates must submit the prescribed declaration of the small family as one of the essential qualifications for recruitment, the prescribed proforma is attached herewith as Appendix B.
4. Knowledge of Marathi Language is desirable for all posts.
5. A candidate furnishing incorrect or false information shall stand disqualified at any stage.
6. The University reserves its right to fill up or not to fill up the posts or to niodify/alter/cancel the advertisement.
7. Applicants already employed should send their applications through proper channel.
8. Applications received after the last date and/or not submitted through proper channel will not be considered.

10. Applicants will be required to enclose attested clean Photo copies of the certificates of their educational qualifications, experience, research experience etc. to each set of an application.

13. No queries or correspondence regarding issue of call Idlers for interview/selection of candidates will he entertained at any stage.
14. Mere possession of minimum qualifications does not confer any right to be called for interview and/or selection.
15. The norms, rules and regulations of AICTE. Govt, of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Universities Act. 1994. Statutes. & Ordinances, in force and as amended from time to time will be applicable to the selected candidate.
16. Selected candidate will have to submit the prescribed attestation form and agreement bond.
17. Post is for the period of one year only, thereafter the candidate shall not have any right to claim for extension or permanency on the basis of the contractual appointment if he/she is selected
18. Candidates must quote Serial Number of the Post in the appropriate place provided in the application form, failing which the application will summarily be rejected.
