Research Associate
Title of the Project : "HyWats "Hybrid Non Sewered wastewater treatment system for safe discharge and reuse" under BRICS STI Framework Programme
About the Project : The projects aims to Design, development and demonstration of wastewater treatment and recovery systems at pilot scale, with an aim to deliver recycled water without micropollutants/emerging contaminants
Funding Agency : Department of Science and Technology, Government of India
Duration of the project : 6 months
Fellowship amount : as per DST norms
Eligibility requirements : PhD in relevant field with experience in Electrochemical systems / Bioelectrochemical systems/ Algal Biorefinery / Constructed wetlands
Project fellow
Title of the Project : "Characterization and Sustainable Recovery of Metals from Low-Grade Ores via Leaching and Bioleaching within a Circular Economy Framework”
About the Project : This project aims to develop a sustainable, closed-loop process for recovering manganese and other valuable metals from low-grade ferruginous ores and mine waste through a combination of chemical leaching, bioleaching using native microorganisms, and hybrid chemical–biological approaches.
Funding agency : Ministry of mines
Duration of the project : 36 months
Fellowship amount : as per Ministry of mines norms (~INR 25000 – 35000)
Eligibility requirements : Master’s in Biological Sciences / Biotechnology or related fields
Project fellow
Title of the Project : "“Sustainable Sanitation for Off-grid Integrated Loops (SOIL): Integrated Treatment and Recovery of Water and Nutrients”
About the Project : This project aims to demonstrate financially affordable and simple to operate decentralized sanitation treatment technologies that will produce high quality effluent for safe disposal or agricultural re-use, thereby alleviating pressure on limited water resources.
Funding agency : Kakatiya Grassroot Innovation Projects (K-GRIP), launched by the Kakatiya Center for Rural Innovation, Technology, and Impact (KRITI) at BITS Pilani.
Duration of the project : 12 months (Please note that Project Fellows appointed under K-GRIP may be considered for enrollment into the PhD program, subject to eligibility and as per existing institute norms.)
Fellowship amount : INR 25,000 – 35,000

Title of the Project : "Global Sanitation Graduate School – Regional Hub India”
About the Project : Hosting the GSGS Regional Hub India Annual Conclave/Workshop and managing GSGS Hub-to-hub exchange and alumni engagement activities.
Funding Agency : CEPT under Global Sanitation Graduate school
Duration of the project : 24 months
Fellowship amount : INR 30,000 - 35000
Eligibility requirements : Research experience in the field of wastewater treatment and non sewered sanitation
