Gujarat Water Supply & Sewerage Board (GWSSB), established under Gujarat Act No.18 of 1979, for rapid development and proper regulation of water supply and sewerage services in the State of Gujarat.  GWSSB (The Board) is committed to ensure sustainable water supply and sanitation services in the State of Gujarat for accomplishing the basic health and hygiene levels leading to Socio-economic Development, Communal harmony and Peace in the society.

Educational Qualification : a. possess a Post Graduate degree in Science (M.Sc.) with First Class in Chemistry or Microbiology or Bio-Chemistry or Biological Science or Environment Science or Bachelor of Engineer (Environment) with First Class from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India or any other educational institutions recognized as such or declared to be a deemed university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government. 
b. possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967, and c. possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or Both.

Age : Maximum up to 37 years. (Age will be calculated as on the last date of receipt of application) 

Pay Scale : pay matrix Level- 08 (Rs.44900-142400)


Exam Pattern
(1) Candidates will be selected for appointments to these posts by conducting a Preliminary test and interview. Candidates will be declared eligible for the interview after scrutinizing the required applications as per the Preliminary test’s meritwise marks. If the candidate gets less than 15% marks in the Preliminary test, he/she will not be considered eligible for interview. The medium of this exam will remain Gujarati unless the commission decides otherwise. The Preliminary test will consist of 100 questions of 100 marks of General Studies and 200 questions of 200 marks of the Respective Subject.Total 300 questions of 300 marks. (Total Duration: 180 Minutes)
(2) As per the Instruction/Provision of the Commission, the candidates of each category are being called for interview as per following norms :

04 & more : 03 times the number of vacancies or 20 whichever is higher
(3) The Weighted Marks of Preliminary Test & Interview are calculated as follows: ‐ [Marks obtained in P.T. X 50/300 = Weighted Marks of Preliminary Test] + [Marks obtained in Interview X 50/100 = Weighted Marks of Interview] = Total Weighted Marks.

Application Fee Payment Method :  
(1) Unreserved Male/Female candidates can pay the application fee in any of the following two ways.  
1. At Post Office : General category candidates will have to click on "Print Challan" and take a copy of the printed challan regarding the fee to be paid. Taking a copy of this printed challan, they will have to go to the nearest post office with computer facilities. Rs. 100/- Commission fee + Postal Service Charge will have to be paid at the post office by date: 17/02/2026 and a challan regarding the payment of the fee will have to be obtained. The candidate will have to keep this challan and the confirmed application form with him. 
2. Online Fee : To deposit the fee online, click on "Print Challan" and fill the details  And then click on "Online Payment of Fee" 752 DIL4 12th. On 26th, select the appropriate option from the options of Net Banking, Card Payment or Other Payment Mode and fill the following details. After depositing the fee, it will be written on the screen that your fee has been deposited and you will get an e-receipt, which you should take a printout of. If for any reason the transaction fails midway, click on "CHECK YOUR PAYMNET STATUS" to know the status of the transaction and take the necessary action.  
(2) For general category candidates who are originally from Gujarat and residing outside the state and for all categories of candidates who are outside the state of Gujarat and residing outside the state, the fee will be accepted only through the online fee (as per point A.2 above) method.  
(3) Applications without payment of fee are liable to be cancelled. Candidates who have not paid the fee will not be allowed to appear in the preliminary examination/main written test under any circumstances.  No sitting will be allowed. This fee will be accepted only through post office/online publication as mentioned above, which the candidates should take note of.


• The candidates should produce formula / method of calculation of percentage where percentage of marks is not given by the University. 
• If the candidate has obtained a foreign university degree / experience, then he / she will have to submit the necessary evidence / evidence regarding the validity / equivalency of such degree position in India. Candidates are informed to take note that the presentation of the matter in this regard will not be considered after the prescribed time limit. 
• Candidates shall remain present at each stage of Recruitment process, otherwise his/her candidature shall be cancelled. 
• Application Fees: - Candidates of General (Unreserved) category have to pay Rs. 100/-+ applicable postal charges or Rs. 100/- + Service Charges through online mode as Application Fees. While Candidates belonging to reserved categories and Economically Weaker Section of Unreserved category of Gujarat State, Ex- Servicemen and physically disabled candidates have not to pay application fees. While candidates of reserved category of other states have to pay application fee. Refund is not admissible under any circumstances after payment of fee. 
• If necessary, a CONSENT FORM and a CONSENT DEPOSIT to appear for exam will be taken in the said advertisement and detailed instructions for this will be published. 
• The Preliminary test will generally be held at Gandhinagar / Ahmedabad and candidates will have to remain present at their own expense.

The last date for filling up the applications for all posts is 16.02.2026.
