CALL FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW CONVERTIBLE TO A Ph.d. POSITION IN ANRF-FUNDED PROJECT
Title of the project : To establish bacterial engineered RNase P (M1GS) ribozyme as a novel RNA-cleaving/reverse genetic tool in plants and to evaluate the effects of histone deacetylase downregulation for abiotic stress tolerance in rice.
Funding agency : ANRF, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India
Emoluments : Rs. 37,000+HRA, as applicable
Duration of the project : 3 years
Eligibility Requirements :
• M.Sc/M.Tech/M.E degree in Biotechnology or Molecular Biology.
• Candidates having NET qualifications (CSIR-NET category I/II/III or eligible for DST INSPIRE) will have an additional advantage.
• Previous lab experience in Plant Molecular Biology (wet lab)/rice research/Bioinformatic analysis of sequencing data (like NGS) is highly desirable.
Selected candidates are expected to register for Ph.D. program of Department of Biological Sciences, BITS-Pilani Hyderabad campus, subject to the fulfillment of the requirements. Upon admission to the Ph.D. program, funding for additional 2 years (total of 5 years) shall be provided by the Institute, as per the institute norms, subject to satisfactory performance.
