Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations professional to support the day-to- day functioning of a preclinical drug discovery program. This role is well suited for an early- career professional who enjoys working closely with scientists, coordinating across teams, and enabling efficient R&D operations.
The position involves supporting laboratory operations, procurement, CRO coordination, Documentation, and logistics, while serving as a key liaison between the Drug Discovery team and enabling functions within Alembic. The role offers hands-on exposure to preclinical research, global collaborations, and strong learning and growth opportunities in a biotech R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities:-
Procurement, SAP & Inventory Management:
• Create, track, and manage purchase requisitions and orders in SAP.
• Co-ordinate with supply chain and purchasing teams.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate procurement and inventory records.
Finance & Vendor Coordination :
• Coordinate invoices, GRNs, and payment processing with Finance.
• Support timely payments to vendors, consultants and CROs.
CRO & Project Operations Support.
• Act as the operational point of contact for CROs.
• Track project timelines, deliverables, and key updates.
• Collect progress reports and proactively flag delays or issues.
Laboratory & Documentation Support :
• Support ELN updates and maintain accurate, compliant laboratory documentation Compound, Reagent & Sample Inventory.
• Manage inventory of compounds, cell lines, and biological reagents.
• Ensure accurate tracking, storage and documentation.
Instrumentation & Maintenance :
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and servicing of laboratory instruments.
• Track AMCs, calibrations, and service schedules.
EHS & Safety Coordination :
• Liaise with EHS teams to ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of materials.
• Support safety audits, inspections, and related documentation.
Shipping & Logistics.
• Support domestic and international shipment of research materials.
• Track shipments and ensure completion of required documentation.
Scientific Support :
• Assist scientists with hands-on bench work during operational downtime.
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in biotech, pharma, or research operations (Industry or academic setting)
• Familiarity with SAP, laboratory operations, or CRO coordination is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to think on their feet.
