The Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), established in 1965, a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) engaged in the Research & Development in the areas of Environmental Toxicology, Predictive Toxicology, Health Risk Assessment, Preventive Toxicology, Inhalation Toxicology, Analytical Toxicology, and also National S&T Missions. IITR has two campuses; the main campus is located at the centre of Lucknow City and the other campus at a distance of approx. 20 km from the main campus.

Eligible and interested candidates may attend the interview for purely temporary engagement as Project Staff under CSIR/externally funded Projects tenable at CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology research, Lucknow. Senior Project Associate - (01) Post
Essential Qualification : (i) Master’s Degree in (Biotech / Microbiology / Environmental Science) with Four years or more research experience from a recognized University or equivalent; OR Doctoral Degree in (Biotech / Microbiology / Life Sciences) from a recognized University or equivalent.
Job description : Water & Waste Water Treatment, Bioremediation, Data analysis & Report preparation
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 42,000/-+ HRA per month as per rule.
Upper Age Limit : 40 years
Project No. and title of the Project : SSP-402 “ Assessment of ground water quality of samples collected from piezometer & monitoring wells’

Project Associate - I (01) Post
Essential Qualification : Master’s Degree in (Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences) from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification : The preference will be given to the personnel having the R&D working experience in Science and Technology Organization and Scientific Activities and services.
Job description : Microbial analysis of water & waste water, Collection of water samples, Report preparation
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 31000/+HRA Or 25000/-+HRA (i) 31000/-+HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (ii) 25000/-+HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
Upper Age Limit : 35 years

Essential Qualification : M.Sc. in Life Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification : Experience in Cell Culture.
Job description : Cell and molecular biology work
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 31000/+HRA Or 25000/-+HRA (i) 31000/-+HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (ii) 25000/-+HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

Project Associate - I (01) Post
Essential Qualification : Master’s Degree in (Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences / Zoology) from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification : The preference will be given to the personnel having research/working experience in regulatory framework, and having the experience of handling small laboratory animals, etc.
Job description : To carry out the safety/toxicity studies under the regulatory frame work
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 31000/+HRA Or 25000/-+HRA (i) 31000/-+HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. Scientific Administrative Assistant/Field Worker (01) Post
Essential Qualification : Graduate Degree in any discipline.
Job description : Sampling, processing and Maintenance of lab equipment’s
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) : 18,000/-+ HRA per month as per rule.
Upper Age Limit : 50 years
Project No. and title of the Project : SSP-440 “ Third Party Audit for Water Quality Parameter”

Eligible candidates will have to report for interview at 9.00 AM. Candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview after 10.00 am. The candidates have to appear for the interview before the selection committee on the above date and time at CSIR-Indian Toxicological Research Institute, Toxicology Bhawan, 31 Mahatma Gandhi Marg Lucknow 226001. Eligible candidates will appear along with the duly filled application form (which can be downloaded from the Institute's website iitrindia.org) along with attested copies of mark sheets/certificates and latest passport size photograph. The candidate will be called for the interview only if he/she is in possession of the original certificates.

General Conditions
1. Age relaxation will be admissible to SC/ST/OBC/PWD & Women candidates as per Govt. of India/CSIR/Funding Agency Guidelines.
2. Suitable Candidates may be empanelled for future requirement if any, under different projects.
3. The date for determining age/qualification and experience shall be the date of interview.
4. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications prescribed for that Post.
5. The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the aforementioned projects.
6. The engagement in these projects will not confer any right implicit or explicit on the candidate for consideration for regularization against any CSIR/IITR post(s).
7. The number of positions against the various projects can vary at the time of selection depending on the requirement of the institute.
8. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
9. No correspondence will be entertained through any medium regarding the advertisement.
10. Candidates must bring their original educational/experience certificates with them. Otherwise, they will not be allowed in the interview.
