Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer, ACTREC, is a unique Institute under the wing of Tata Memorial Centre and a grant-in-aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy. ACTREC conducts a PhD program in Life Sciences that is affiliated with the Homi Bhabha National Institute (a deemed university under category A by MHRD, Govt. of India). Fulfilling its ‘bench-to- bedside’ mandate, the Institute provides a highly conducive environment for world-class cancer research.
Post : Trial Coordinator
Educational Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Life Sciences and related biological fields from a recognized university with not less than 65% aggregate marks with minimum two years of research experience is essential.
Desirable Qualification : Experience in recombinant protein purification, molecular biology, structural biology, biochemistry and cell based experiments are required. Extensive experience in bacterial protein expression and purification, molecular biology, mammalian cell culture and apoptosis assays is desirable.
Job Description : To Clone, sub-clone, design mutants, express and purify proteins. Perform biochemical biophysical, structural and cell-based studies with relevant proteins to characterize their interactions.
*M.Sc. degree having duration of one year course will not be considered. Selected candidate will have to join at the earliest; hence result-awaited candidates will not be eligible to apply for the post.
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 43,400/- per month.
Duration : Six months and extendable.
The work progress of candidates will be monitored for extension after 6 months.
