Job for Research Associate at National Institute of Pathology

The Indian Registry of Pathology (IRP) was established in 1965 under the auspices of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in New Delhi, India as a Centre for collection and distribution of teaching material in pathology. The Registry was renamed in 1980 as the National Institute of Pathology (IOP) in view of its expanded scope and activities. As per the need of the post-independence era when a large number of new medical colleges were coming up, IRP took up the initiative with the original aims and objectives of collection, classification, duplication and distribution of a representative spectrum of histopathological teaching material to several medical colleges, institutions, individual pathologists and clinicians.

Post : Research Associate-I

Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate-I is to be filled up on a purely temporary basis for ICMR funded project entitled Screening of Inhibitory molecules against KIFC1, KIF4A, KIF15 and KIF20A and evaluation of anticancer activity of the identified molecules on breast cancer cell", under Principal Investigator Dr S A Raju Bagadi, Scientist D, ICMR-National Institute of Pathology

Essential Qualifications : PhD in any branch of Life Sciences,
Desirable : Candidates with a good academic and publication record with experience in in silico molecular modeling and docking/Cell proliferation assays with basic experience of handling cell lines, and linux based systems.


Emoluments : Rs 47,000/- + 24%HRA= 58280/- per month
Age limit : Upper age limit is 40 years, relaxable for SC / ST / OBC and female candidates as per Govt, of India rules.

The date and time of the interview will be displayed on NIP website. NIP reserves the right to shortlist the candidates in case of receipt of large number of applications. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email.

Selected candidates should bring CV and all the original certificates and a set of self-attested copies of certificates at the time of joining. Those candidates who are working in Govt. Organizations/Public undertaking/autonomous body should bring a No Objection Certificate from his/her employer. It may be noted that no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. It may also be noted that there is no provision of hostel facility at the ICMR-National Institute of Pathology.
