JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, formerly known as JSS University, is a Deemed to be University located in Mysuru, Karnataka. It was established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and is part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which runs a variety of educational institutions. This deemed-to-be university is recognized by MHRD and accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade (3.48 CGPA). JSS AHER has been graded as Category-I Deemed-to-be University by UGC.
Applications are invited for the Faculty and Research positions available under the DBT-BUILDER project for a period of 5 years on the thematic area: 1. Novel biomarkers and therapeutics 2. Nanotheranostics and 3. Spatial health informatics for prevention and management of CVD. The appointment will be purely on a temporary basis and the details are as below.

Expertise Required : Analytical Chemistry/ Metabolomics
Qualifications : Essential: Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Life Sciences/ Immunology/ Microbiology Desirable: Minimum 2 years of Postdoctoral experience in relevant area demonstrated by scholarly publications. Experience in operating LC-MS/MS and or GC-MS/MS, NMR and data analysis as demonstrated by publications
Assistant Professor (01)
Expertise Required : Molecular Biology/ Genome Sequencing/ Genetics
Qualifications : Essential: Ph.D. in Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Genetics Desirable: Minimum 2 years of Postdoctoral experience in relevant area as demonstrated by scholarly publications
Assistant Professor (01)
Expertise Required : Nanotechnology
Qualifications : Essential: Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical chemistry / Pharmaceutics / Pharm. Analysis
Desirable : Minimum 2 years of Postdoctoral experience in relevant area as demonstrated by scholarly publications. Experience in molecular techniques, sample processing, operating NGS as demonstrated by publications
Assistant Professor (01)
Expertise Required : Performing advanced GIS analysis and modelling related to public health and hospital data
Qualifications : Essential : M.Sc. / M.Tech. degree in geoinformatics with Ph.D. in concerned subjects from recognised university with at least 2 years of experience in using advanced geospatial analytical tools.
Desirable : In addition, preference will be given to the candidates having technical experience to create customized tools and maintain ESRI Arc-GIS based applications, JAVA script API, Google Earth Engine, Python, etc.
Junior Research fellow (01)
Qualifications : Master’s degree in Geoinformatics Desirable: In addition, preference will be given to the candidates who have qualified NET/SLET examination and having technical experience to create customized tools and maintain ESRI ArcGIS based applications, JAVA script API, Google Earth Engine, Python, etc.

Qualifications : Required : M.Sc./MTech. / M.Pharm in Nanoscience / Pharmaceutical Chemistry Desirable: Minimum 2yr research experience in relevant area. NET/KSET/ SLET candidates will be preferred
