The Institute has created necessary physical infrastructure and critical platform technologies to support research, translation and training in biomedical genomics.
Post : Senior Research Fellow
The National Institute of Biomedical Genomics welcomes an innovative young mind with passion to work in a project of high clinical impact. This position is contractual, and appointment will be initially given as per tenure of the project, extendable depending upon performance and requirements of the project.
The decision of NIBMG in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application, mode of selection, and conduct of interviews will be final and binding on the candidates. In exceptionally meritorious cases, the eligibility requirements may be relaxed by the competent authority.
Project Name : A diagnostic panel for rapid detection of early onset sepsis in high-risk neonates
Project Description : The goal of this project is to develop a method for rapid detection of sepsis and anti-microbial resistance in high-risk children.
Remuneration [INR] per month : Rs. 35000/- + 8% HRA*
Essential Qualifications : (1) Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification OR graduate degree in professional course with NET qualification OR Post-graduate degree in Professional Course (2) Two years of research experience (3) Experience in working in a molecular biology, biochemistry, or microbiology laboratory
Desirable Qualifications : Prior experience in (1) the field of sepsis, (2) handling clinical samples
Nature of Duty : Handling clinical biospecimens; standardization of molecular assays for detection of pathogens and anti-microbial resistance; analysis of clinical and laboratory data
