Job for M.Pharm, MSc as Junior Research Fellow at NIPER

Enthusiastic and entrepreneurial efforts have turned Gujarat into the hub of Pharma industry.  The innovative and translational approach of the Indian scientists resulted in paradigm shift from industrial age to knowledge enriched economy. Pharmaceutical education has played a vital role in human resource development, catalysing the growth of life sciences and healthcare industry.  The visionary augmentation of the department of pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India has led to the establishment of six new NIPERS in 2007.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for temporary Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in the project funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST) - Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). The position is temporary in nature.

Project Title : Aptamer targeted dendronized polymeric nanoparticles to deliver Anti-miRNA for treatment of Triple Negative Breast Cancer Principle Investigator (PI) : Dr Rakesh K. Tekade Associate Professor (Department of Pharmaceutics)

Funding Agency : DST – SERB, Government of India.
Salary : Rs.31000 + 24% HRA per month
Qualification Essential Qualification : M.Sc./ M.Pharm / M. S / M.Tech in Biotechnology / Bioengineering / Biomedical Engineering / Biochemistry / Pharmacy / Pharm.Sci.
Essential experience : Work experience in Handling cancer cell lines, Western blot analysis, Gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, qRT-PCR, transfection
Desirable experience : Flow cytometry, Confocal microscopy, Aptamer.

Job Profile
The selected candidate will work on project objectives not limited to:
1. Polymer bioconjugation; Formulation development and characterization of siRNA/microRNA loaded polymeric nanoparticles
2. Evaluation of cellular binding, endosomal escape tendency
3. Stability, Cytotoxicity assay and transfection studies; Evaluation of gene silencing and anticancer activity
